Hampstead chic is back - The Brickworx, our newly refurbished, fully detached coach house once again opens its doors to guests.
Set back on a treelined street, The Brickworx offers rarely available privacy moments from Hampstead Heath "the Lungs of London", yet just a 19 minute cycle ride from Oxford Street - downhill to be fair.
Since first opening in 2019, our growing reputation for immaculate cleanliness made us proud. 2020 set a new bar, so we've been busy ensuring we exceed that too.
THE SPACE With over 70sqm of space, The Brickworx has two large double bedrooms (with a choice of 2 kings, or 1 king and 2 single beds); an open plan sitting room and dining room; an eat-in kitchen and a bathroom completed with Grohe and Kaldewei fittings. An added bonus is the sun-trap balcony running across the entire south facing front of the property, which is accessible from both the sitting room and second bedroom.
We believe settling in and unpacking should be as painless as possible, so we’ve dedicated all storage entirely for the use of guests (built in wardrobes, hall cupboards, bedside tables etc). Similarly, a trip away shouldn’t be blighted by more housework than our guests face at home, so we’ve installed a fully kitted out the kitchen including a dishwasher plus there’s a utility cupboard with a super quiet washer dryer.
The light passing over the balcony into the living and front bed room has inspired us to furnish this very private bolt hole with an eclectic mix of memorabilia. The location means the metropolis is wonderfully accessible, whilst you can also de-stress away from it all by rambling through the lanes of Hampstead, taking in the majestic views of London from the midst of the famed Hampstead Heath. We hope it inspires you too!
GUEST ACCESS The entire property is at your disposal, and guests are provided with the key safe code for self check-in.
By prior arrangement, we can also offer: - Private secure bicycle storage - On street parking for one standard size car in a designated space
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE The Brickworx is for you to enjoy. We always put a welcome gift in the fridge or fruit bowl ready for your arrival, but if you have any requirements for stocking the fridge before you arrive or the like, we'll do our best to accommodate, just let us know.
CLEANING BETWEEN BOOKINGS: We've always been chuffed by guests' comments about how clean The Brickworx is when they check-in. - even more chuffed by the care our guests take of The Brickworx. 2020 has just set our bar a little higher and so we need more time between guest stays to keep our standards up. . Our turnover procedures are fully detailed in the manual provided to our guests in advance of their stay.
We have recruited additional assistance between bookings, to ensure The Brickworx remains Covid-free, so we're afraid the cleaning cost has increased - but by only by a proportion of the cost - and we've dropped the stay rate for 2020/21.
We have also doubled-up on bedding, towels and soft textiles, so even though we always process through a hot wash, we now alternate sets between bookings for extra reassurance. Guest amenities now include hand-sanitiser, disinfectant and wipes.
EVENTS AND CONCIERGE REQUESTS: Our guest manual includes lots of information and ideas for local restaurants, places to visit and the practicalities of getting out and about. In addition, occasionally we are able to offer our guests once in a lifetime tickets to events in combination with a stay at The Brickworx. These are privately purchased tickets, not agency tickets. On those occasions, you will see a spike in the rates on our calendar.
For example, guests have enjoyed Rita Ora's performance at the Sentebale Audi Concert from centre front row seats in the grounds of Hampton Court. Others have been wowed by Madonna's intimate performance from their superb inner aisle Stall seats at the London Palladium, had VIP tier seats for Trevor Noah at the O2, or caught Eddie Izzard's one-man show during his last tour.
We also offer a Christmas Tree service - photos are up on our listing page. if you plan to spend the holidays in London, and want to arrive to a floor to ceiling twinkling festive tree, then give us a brief, and we'll make it happen.
In fact, having worked in many industries over, ahem, several decades, we are pretty sure that we're up to meeting the challenge of most 'concierge' type requests.
If you have any specific requests for events or want ideas for places to dine etc, do ask, as we may be able to help.
Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in Hampstead
By Zoe on 10-Mar-2021
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Brickworx Coach House and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking to stay in stay in Hampstead. We know the area well and the location of this airbnb is amazing. You are close to Hampstead Village as well as Swiss Cottage and Primrose Hill so there is a lot to do in the area. The jubilee line is also close by (Finchley Road and Swiss Cottage) which takes you straight into central London (Bond Street) in around 10 minutes. The flat itself was very clean and well looked after and the rooms were nice and spacious. Amanda was a great host and was very quick at responding both prior to and during our stay.
A great experience and i highly recommend

A lovely flat, sparkling clean and decorated in a stylish, eclectic fashion
By Sherri on 19-Sep-2020
It’s a lovely flat, sparkling clean and decorated in a stylish, eclectic fashion. There was a notebook explaining guidelines and containing user manuals for anything operational. This was very helpful because most appliances were different that those in the US. It is in the loveliest neighborhood and was totally safe night and day. You could walk about 3 blocks up to catch bus 46 that would take you on to Hampstead Tube Station or simply walk a ways farther to Hampstead Tube. Walking the other way you walk downhill about 3 blocks to the Sainsbury Grocery Store and Finchley Tube Station. Up in Hampstead there are bakeries, groceries and dining
Such a lovely, private, comfortable, and stylish little gem
By Jessica on 13-Feb-2020
Such a lovely private, comfortable, and stylish little gem in Hampstead! I’ve lived in the area previously and can only say great things about this place. My mother and I felt very safe and comfortable while staying here together. There were so many nice, special and thoughtful elements like jelly and bread, fresh tangerines and orange juice, etc that was all complimentary. The house was extremely clean and modern. The radio in every room was really a cool touch to us as well, which we both enjoyed! Such a great place!

We had a wonderful stay at Brickworx. The apartment is nice with all amenities. The area is quite between Finchley road tube station and Hampstead tube station. Highly recommended!
Fantastic detached apartment in Hampstead

Fantastic detached apartment in Hampstead with the village in easy walking distance. Good hosting. The apartment had everything you need and was very clean. I thoroughly recommend staying here.

Its a stylishly decorated 2-bed flat atop a coach house. Its free standing so there is no noise from neighbors anywhere, and the street itself is tree-lined and with nary a passing car. If u want to be away from the hustle n bustle of central London, close to Hampstead and its 'village' feel and the Heath, then this is for u. Also, its only 5-7mins walk to either Finchley Road and Hampstead tubes (and Frognal Overground). It may be more expensive than some, but it is worth the cost if u want the above (ie. lovely place, privacy, great Hampstead location). As regards the host, Amanda, she was super. Very kind, incredibly accommodating (we needed to extend our stay and were able to work something out no problems) and also helpful that she lives nearby. A++
Spotlessley clean and amazingly located
By Tilly on 14-Aug-2019
We had a wonderful stay at the spotlessly clean and amazingly located Brickworx while some short-term building work was being done on our house nearby. Amanda made all the logistics seamless, and was super-friendly and thoughtful to boot. The flat genuinely lives up to the photos and our family of four found the accommodation perfect for our needs. Amanda even managed to recommend a restaurant we hadn’t visited in 17 years of living in Hampstead and we loved it! Highly recommended.
