The spacious accommodation comprises 1 King Size bedroom with ensuite, a Family Bedroom with King Size bed and single bed, a third bedroom with bunk beds and a single bed, a bathroom with shower attachment, Lounge with double John Lewis fold-out bed, second Lounge , Fitted Dining Kitchen with dishwasher and microwave and Utility Room with washer and dryer. The bunk bedroom is a walk through the kitchen and utility room and so may not be suitable for very young children.
The cottage is heated with oil-fired central heating.
There are 3 tv's, free Internet / Wireless Access and a payphone.
The landscaped terraced garden offers two patio areas. The driveway and car port can accommodate 4 cars.
The local pub, the Angler's Arms, serves excellent food and cask ales and is only 100 yds away. Food ,including breakfasts, can also be purchased at the Haverthwaite Steam Railway across the road. The Motor Museum is also a few hundred yards away and has a self-service restaurant

Pets may be allowed. Please enquire giving details of type and number. There is an additional charge of £5 per pet per night.
Please note that this is a NON-SMOKING and NON-VAPING cottage and a cleaning charge of £150 will be applied if the cottage is found to be contaminated with smoke or vape on exit. Please bear in mind that smoking within 5 metres of an open window or doorway would also allow smoke to enter the cottage and could incur a cleaning charge.
Our aim is that all of our customers are satisfied if not delighted when they arrive at the cottage.
To achieve this I would like to draw your attention to some things
1. The cottage is well insulated for sound with double and triple
glazing which means that there is negligible traffic noise from
the dual carriageway which is close to the cottage. In addition,
traffic is negligible at night. Noise will be evident in the
2. The third bedroom has bunk beds and a single bed at
right-angles to it. It is accessed through the kitchen and
utility room and may not be suitable for very young children due
to the distance to the main bedrooms. The family bedroom has a
king size bed, single bed and cot.
3. We have done some decluttering of the cottage but it is not minimalist. As it is a country cottage style, there are some ornaments around. The cottage essentially sleeps 8 + 2 (on a sofabed) We have furnished it with wardrobes and drawers to supply the number of guests.
4. We take cleaning very seriously and the cleaner also
disinfects with covid killing detergent. It is not possible to be 100% sure that it is covid free so we recommend that you wash your hands and do not touch your face in the first few days of arrival.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations will incur no refund except for COVID related cancellations. If the dates are rebooked then we will refund your payments minus £25 administration charge.
It is advisable to take out holiday cancellation insurance as soon as you book.
You do not need to love steam trains to enjoy staying at Stokers at Heights View, but if you do then you are in luck because it is right across the road from the famous Haverthwaite Steam Railway Museum and cafe! Better still, it is only 100 metres from the fantastic Anglers pub where they serve delicious food and local ales. There is enough space for up to 10 people, so the house is ideal for large families, extended groups, or friends wanting to catch up and stay in comfort while exploring the Lake District National Park, Windermere, Coniston Water, Ulverstone and beautiful Morecambe Bay.

The property was equipped with all that we needed for a self-catering stay. The few problems that we had were dealt with promptly by the owner, who was quick to respond to any queries or requests. The cottage is on a very busy dual carriageway but is a convenient location for exploring the Lakes. We would be happy to stay again.

Lovely and Comfy

The cottage was lovely and comfy. There were a couple of nice touches, like a lot of brochures for local attractions! Also about a 10 minute drive from Ulverston Central and a few supermarkets! It is very close to a busy Aroad though so be aware if you're going with kids, garden is enclosed but there is a low wall at the front.

We (9 people) really enjoyed staying in this cottage. Very well equipped and owners were very friendly and helpful. Safety deposit was refunded on the next day of our departure. Would strongly recommend!

We were delighted with the property and had a most enjoyable stay. It met our needs perfectly. In particular, we appreciated the different seating areas with plenty of space for people to spread out and not get on top of each other. Although close to a busy road the house is well sound proofed so noise was not a problem. It was very well equipped and very comfortable. We arranged a delivery of groceries from Sainsburys.

A lovely and spacious cottage in extensive gardens. Easy to find and really well-placed for touring south lakes. Haverthwaite steam railway station is just opposite and well worth exploring. Really enjoyed our stay - definitely 5 star and recommended,

We just spent a week here. Its a lovely cottage the location is perfect for exploring the lakes ect. The train station opposite is great for trips out without using the car. It also has a cafe and park.
