Description
If you are looking for a lovely seaside holiday home for your next Scottish coastal break then Aubery Crescent in Largs, Ayrshire may well tick all of the boxes. The house has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and sleeps up to 8 people.
Aubery Crescent is enviably located adjacent to the seafront and enjoys stunning, panoramic views of the Firth of Clyde, Cumbrae and Arran in the west. Aubery Crescent is a beautiful four-bedroomed Victorian townhouse set out over three floors. The house is well placed for visiting the Isles, golfing and is also within short walking distance of all the local facilities in Largs.
The striking property has been fully modernised and the rooms are stylish and luxuriously appointed. The living room has been placed on the first floor to allow you to enjoy the panoramic sea view and relax into the sumptuous sofas to look out to the Isles and the ferry toing and froing to Cumbrae. The large dining room is on the ground floor and also looks out over the sea, with comfy chairs to enjoy a morning coffee watching life along the promenade. Each bedroom has its own bathroom allowing privacy and space if holidaying with others. There is also a bedroom with shower room on the ground floor if mobility is an issue for anyone.
To the front of the house is a sunny patio with seating, a BBQ and a lawned garden at the front where you can sit out and enjoy watching the fantastic sea views and sunsets. (to be fenced in Spring, delayed due to Covid)
You step from the front garden onto Largs promenade which is part of the 161 km long Ayrshire Coastal path, so Scottish walking and cycling at its best! Largs is a charming Scottish seaside resort and the promenade offers a choice of ice cream parlours, some of the best fish and chips in Scotland and kids play areas including rides and a fabulous skatepark. The promenade is lined with palm trees that grow due to the Gulf Stream that runs from the Gulf of Mexico, which is why Largs normally has mild winters.
From Aubery Crescent you can walk to the ferry terminal to take the short 15 minute journey to Great Cumbrae where it is popular to hire bikes and cycle the 10 miles round trip of the island. The ferry terminals taking you to Bute, Dunoon and Arran are all within 20 minutes drive, giving you many options for day trips. Ayrshire boasts many beautiful beaches, some with views over to Arran and Ailsa Craig and lots of local wildlife to spot, including seals, porpoises and occasionally dolphins.
