Little Avalon is a delightful 2 bedroom, semi-detached cottage situated in a very convenient location, just off the central square in Laugharne. It is close to the shops, cafés, restaurants and pubs, yet offers a good degree of privacy, being at the end of a private pathway of similar properties. The cottage is within a short walk of all the amenities that Laugharne has to offer. This property is managed and maintained by the owners so you are guaranteed of the highest standards of service.
The accommodation is very well presented with quality furnishings. The well equipped kitchen diner includes a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer plus all the usual kitchen accessories. The dining table comfortably seats six people. The spacious lounge has, a large leather suite, LCD TV with iPlayer, Netflix etc. DVD, french doors open on to the patio. Bedroom 1 is a large room with a double bed and TV. An additional small single bed can be put in bedroom 1 on request, when separate beds are required.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a small dressing room. The bathroom has a bath, with electric shower over, a washbasin and toilet. Little Avalon benefits from WiFi and central heating, at no extra cost, making it cosy all year round.
The enclosed garden has table and chairs for relaxed outdoor dining on the patio, with views over the river towards the park on one side and glimpses of the castle on the other. There is private allocated parking for one car.
Laugharne is a unique and enchanting little town on the River Taf estuary; famed as being the place which inspired the poet Dylan Thomas. Laugharne has recently provided the location for the spectacular coastal scenery, high street and family home in the the hit BBC series, "Keeping Faith". In addition to its superb selection of restaurants, cafes and public houses, it has many of its own tourist attractions including a fine Norman castle, Dylan Thomas' boathouse, riding stables and Silversmiths. It has many public walks and the Wales Coast Path passes through the town. The estuary provides bird watching opportunities, fishing and boating. The property is just yards from the foreshore and walks along the estuary.
Laugharne is an ideal base from which to explore West Wales. Pendine Sands is only a 10 minute drive away, the resorts of Tenby, Saundersfoot, the beaches and theme parks of Pembrokeshire and the National Botanic Garden are all within easy driving distance.

Comfortable well equipped cottage in the heart of Laugharne
By JO P on 28-May-2022Loved our week in Little Avalon. The cottage is comfortable in immaculate condition and very well equipped and decorated . There is good outside space and excellent TV package and the two decent size double bedrooms both have comfortable beds . Communication with Andrew was excellent and the home baked welsh cakes from Angela accompanied by a bottle of wine were there to greet us on arrival . The property is in the heart of Laugharne ( but v quiet) and near to all the sights and amenities - shop pubs restaurants castle Dylan Thomas’s boathouse , numerous beautiful walks and is a short drive from the beautiful Pendine Sands. Laugharne is a real gem of a town and include proximity to many great walks sights and beaches . We definitely want to return and throughly recommend both the area and the property. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Lovely Cottage
By Andrew F on 31-Jul-2021A fantastic well appointed cottage in a lovely peaceful location right in the heart of Laugharne. Andrew the owners communication was excellent throughout and he immediately resolved a small issue with the boiler one day. Tea, cakes, flowers and wine on arrival were great touches too. The cottage is spacious and furnished to a high standard throughout. The small enclosed garden and patio are also an ideal spot to spend a summer's evening. You get an allocated parking space and the cottage is a minute away from the castle, shops, restaurants and pubs but isn't affected by any noise as it's set on a small mews with friendly neighbours. We would definitely recommend and happily return to this lovely cottage in a brilliant location! Published 16 Aug 2021
Family Short Break
By Carys L on 17-May-2021Everything about this cottage was great. Excellent location within the village, beautiful walks nearby, pubs for a drink and food, convenience store nearby. The cottage was warm, extremely clean with comfortable beds and had everything that you would need. Nice seating area in the garden. Booking and all arrangements were well organised and professionally done. Hope to return soon. Would highly recommend. Thank you.
