Perigourdin Farmhouse, approximately four hundred years old, is set in three acres of mature gardens and has been very tastefully modernised and converted into high quality self catering accommodation which has recently been refurbished. Our high level of returning visitors and their recommendations over 23 years of providing high quality accommodation, all of which is documented in our visitors books, give our new visitors piece of mind when choosing to book their holiday.
The farmhouse is situated 7 kms from the market town of Le Bugue in the little village of Mortemart. It faces south and is guaranteed sunshine for most of the day. Exposed beams are a feature throughout the property.
Opposite is an 18 hole golf course with restaurant, considered as one of the best in the Dordogne. Also canoeing, fishing and horse riding are within easy reach as are many excellent restaurants. We are ideally situated for visiting the many delights of the Dordogne.
Private Swimming Pool A few metres from your terrace is your private swimming pool, 10m x 5m, which is fully alarmed. Alongside are sun loungers with cushions.Garden furniture and barbecue are on the terrace.
The garden is there for you to enjoy and we have a variety of fruit trees, including cherry, plum, apricot, apple, pear, raspberry and blackcurrant bushes; the fruit of which you are welcome to pick throughout the season.
There is shaded private parking.
Accommodation: Very spacious and to a high standard.
The kitchen/dining room has French windows leading on to your private terrace. It is fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, ceramic hob and electric oven , microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board. Kitchen towels are provided. There is a dining table and four chairs.
The living room has French windows opening on to your private terrace with barbecue, garden furniture and parasol. It is light and spacious with leather settee and chairs. There is also a large modern flat screen HD ready television (with all English free to air channels) a DVD player and selection of DVDs are supplied and a CD player. Also a good selection of books and board games are provided. Excellent WiFi connection.
The downstairs bathroom comprises of a large double shower 90x120 and bathroom unit with sink and shaver socket.
There is a separate downstairs toilet.
The double bedroom, which has lovely views over the pool and garden, has a double bed and ample furniture. There is an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet, sink and shaver socket
The second bedroom, which has lovely views over the garden, has twin beds a sink and ample furniture. All beds have duvets and pillows.
All bed linen plus one bath towel and one hand towel per person are provided.
Smoke alarms are installed upstairs and downstairs.
