Dovecote is our holiday home that sleeps 4 and is set in the heart of Cornwall, Trevone Bay. A large Blue Flag beach, that is lifeguarded throughout the summer, is a short walk away and the fishing port of Padstow is only minutes away. Eden Project, Lands End, the Camel/Poldark Trails are all within easy reach and the coastal walks are great. We are happy for you to bring one small dog too. So whether it's a summer holiday or a Cornish adventure, Dovecote is perfect for everyone, all year round.
Dovecote is in the heart of the village and most people walk the short distance to the beach either through the nearby fields that take you straight to the Rocky Beach and on to the main sandy bay. You can go directly to the bay by walking down past the Well Parc Inn, across the beer garden and then through the snicket.
The village also has a beach cafe/bar and farm shop so please use them whilst you are staying. Getting things delivered or going to Tesco in Padstow might be slightly cheaper but everything tastes better when you are drinking it in a beer garden/by the beach and the shop sells a great range of local produce. You can also help save the planet by hiring your beach equipment from the beach store, you would be amazed how much has to be sent to landfill each year!
Further afield the views when walking the coastal paths are to die for and there are a range of activities that you can do locally from kayaking to a sea-life safari.
We have tried to include everything you might need. Dovecote has a comfortable lounge and a dining area. The kitchen is fully fitted with Oven/Hob, Fridge Freezer, Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher and Microwave. We provide fresh clean linen for your stay and the double bedroom has a Simba Bedframe and Mattress for a great nights sleep. The bunk room has full size beds suitable for adults and children alike. The shower room has an electric shower so you can shower at any time of the day. Outside is a wood verandah and furniture so that you can sit outside, sip a glass of your favourite tipple and enjoy the sunset. Dovecote is situated on a quiet private road and has its own car parking.
