Wonderful hosts.

By Gill on 07-Nov-2019

We choose Home Farm for several reasons:
1 We have stayed before & know the setup & location
2 The cottages are all bright , comfortable & well equipped with laundry etc available
3 The gardens are well fenced with tables & chairs
4 It is a good "in between " from our home to our families
5 There are great fields for dog exercising
6 Last, but not least, Ruth & Mike are wonderful hosts.
This holiday in Hayloft met all our expectations and was a lovely relaxing week.

Home Farm Cottages is a beautiful setting & hosts Mike & Ruth were exceptional during our stay! Warm & welcoming. Nothing seemed to be to much trouble even with Mike helping to dig us out of the snow. Log burner was perfect! Cleanliness was high standard.

Excellent cottage, excellent site

By Doreen M on 29-Sep-2018

My partner and I, together with our dogs Poppy and Sam, very much enjoyed our stay in May 2018. The cottage was very comfortable and furnished and equipped to a very high standard, including being extremely dog friendly with two fields for them to run around in! The farm is central to many places of interest, including Cheddar Gorge, Wells and Glastonbury. There is a good Chippy in the village but beware - the portions are very large! Thank you to Mike and Ruth for being so friendly and helpful (and for the lemon drizzle cake - the best). We would most definitely come again!

Best Cottage ever!

By Jan on 14-Aug-2018

Spent a wonderful week in Hayloft. Lovely cottage with everything you need, secure garden for the dogs plus the dogs loved the field to run free in. Ruth and Mike (plus Harry and Archie their dogs) very welcoming and helpful. There is also a washing machine for guest use. Visited Wells (market on a Wednesday and Saturday), Cheddar Gorge, Tyntesfield. Brean beech lovely and allows dogs. All in all a very relaxing holiday - we will return!.

Peaceful, relaxing, beautiful landscape

By Mark 14994 on 12-Aug-2018

Just spent a very relaxing week at the Hayloft. It was very peaceful and relaxing and we can't remember the last time we have been away on holiday and upon return home felt that we actually had a holiday. The grounds are very well kept and two large, enclosed and secure fields are ideal for dogs to be off lead.
Mike and Ruth the owners, have two well behaved cockapoos and got on well with our Monty. The owners are very friendly and hospitable and had a welcome pack of all the immediate essentials, i.e. coffee, tea, milk and cleaning materials. The home baked Ginger cake was out of this world. The downstairs bathroom took a bit of getting used to but the views from the main bedroom windows compensated for this slight inconvenience. The lounge was equipped with a Dining table, comfy sofa , TV and Echo Alexa although her conversational skills left a bit to be desired.
I would fully recommend Homefarm, Barton and the Hayloft.

Beautiful cottages !

By Jan771 From Chesterfield, England on 05-Dec-2017

We spent a week at Scrumpy cottage and I must say this is one of the best we have stayed in . Mike and Ruth are really friendly and are very proud of their cottages and grounds. Everything outdoors was well labelled and easy to find . The cottage was beautifully clean and very well equipped and they even provided a dog bowl and treats which our Cockapoo Ted found delightful. The whole grounds are totally dog friendly being secured by gates and fences. Our dog really loved running around on the two fields which were kept mowed plus the front garden of the property was also gated and fenced. Adjacent to the property is a quiet public footpath which leads to fields where you can walk to your hearts content. Weston Supermare and Burnham on Sea are within easy reach as is the West Somerset railway and Cheddar Gorge .The Plough Inn at Wrington served lovely food and even allowed dogs in the dining room . Home Farm cottages is highly recommended!

5 star luxury accommodation in a stunning setting

By Chairofbowlies68 on 18-Nov-2017

We've just returned from a truly fabulous week's stay in The Hayloft at Home Farm with our 6 month old Borador. We were blown away by the quality, attention to detail and sheer luxury of not only the gorgeous converted hayloft but the facilities at Home Farm and the beauty of its surroundings. There was EVERYTHING you could possibly need...a tin of dog treats, large, quality throws for the furniture, a Hoover and cleaning equipment, towels...
There are 2 large enclosed grass paddocks to exercise your dog and even a dispenser with dog poo bags on the paddock fence!!
The accommodation was well equipped, warm, comfortable and very homely with a log burner, kindling, logs and 'Alexa' the Amazon voice activated system to play any music you can think of, search the web etc.
We don't just want a return visit...we want to LIVE there!!!
Must-do's whilst there, Berrow Beach (amazing sunsets and great cafe/bar, The Sundowner) with miles and miles of flat, sandy beach. An easy walk along the beach to Burnham-on-Sea and great for dogs.
Brean Down, the steps are a killer but the views are worth it, you feel like you're on top of the world.
Kingswood (National Trust) a lovely, hilly walk with stunning 360 degree views from the top.

Beautiful location, warm welcome, outstanding cottage

By Henshaw650 on 23-Sep-2017

We have just spent a week in the Hayloft. The Hayloft was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, cosy and just what is needed for a good holiday. Home Farm has dog friendly cottages and two fields which are open for guests to use. Dog walking was a real pleasure and it was wonderful to see dogs playing together in the fields. We received a warm welcome on arrival and were well looked after throughout. There was even a vase of fresh flowers which were grown on the Farm in the cottage when we arrived. It was furnished with everything we needed. It was perfect.
