Fantastic location, superb hosts and accommodation

By Julie Hatton on 13-Aug-2022

We had a fabulous week at this amazing barn, perfect location for exploring the jurassic coast. The barn is set in beautiful grounds and hosts could not have been more helpful, right from time of booking and during our stay The accommodation has everything you will need and more for a comfortable stay, if like me you like to pack for every eventuality, no need, it's all there. Perfect for indoor or outdoor dining, a week was not enough and would definitely return.

The elusive Kingfishers

By Carl and Jackie on 08-Jul-2022

We have just enjoyed a superb holiday staying in Bruckland Stream Barn. The weather was exceptional, location ideal and accomodation first class. Owner's, Isabelle and Steve, who live in the only adjacent property, made us feel very welcome. They were never intrusive but always available for help and advice or just a friendly chat. The barn itself is a large and very well appointed conversion, with far more space than the average holiday let. It is fully equipped with all the essentials, plus fresh cut flowers along with tea, coffee and milk etc are ready and waiting on arrival. The outside space is very private and provides ample opportunity for dining "al-fresco" with seating arranged to catch the sun at all times. Breakfast on the patio is a must, whilst a glass of wine or cold beer helps watch the sun go down. Wait a while longer though to catch a glimpse of the resident barn owl gliding over the lake or watch the many other varied wildlife that make the surrounding fields, their home. A family of Kingfishers were visitors during our stay, but always managed to remain completely elusive!! All in all the perfect location, a quiet and peaceful rural setting, surrounded by country lanes and charming villages, but within easy reach of the coast, the many nearby tourist attractions and ideal for access to the East Devon Coastal Path. Highly recommended.
