The Big Picture Holidays Apartments occupy a commanding position in Park Avenue, overlooking the town centre, with perhaps some of the best views of the town, harbour and bay, and yet only a few minutes walk (downhill) to reach the bustling main streets of St. Ives, and its galleries, pubs, restaurants and beaches.

We have two apartments, a 4 bedroom apartment, and this 2 bedroom apartment, both in the same building. The 2 bedroom apartment is very light and spacious and has superb sea views from the lounge and main bedroom.. It is all on one floor and sleeps 4 people as standard in a superking bed and a double bed, but sleeps up to 5 people plus a baby with the provision of a folding bed and travel cot.

The apartment has been furnished in a modern and contemporary style, It is fully equipped and has a TV with Freeview, DVD player, wi-fi, washing machine, microwave and hairdryer. The large kitchen/diner is well equipped and has a professional style gas hob and electric oven. The main bedroom has a superking size bed, and has good views of the sea, harbour and town. The rear bedroom has a double bed and we can provide an additional folding bed if required. There is a family bathroom with bath, and shower over.

Our apartments have the benefit of off street parking for one car each, a rarity in St. Ives! There is a nearby long stay car park if you have additional cars, and we can send you details of private parking spaces to rent too. No smoking, no pets, but children welcome.

“Our best self catering experience.”

We have stayed in many over the years, but this is the best ever. It is a light and spacious apartment and the view over the town, harbour and sea is fantastic. Because there were only two of us we received a discounted rental. The main bedroom has a huge and very comfortable bed and there is plenty of storage. The term 'fully equipped' is often used for holiday rentals, but this one really is. Wifi connection is excellent. Self catering for us means taking a cold bag full of 'Cook' ready meals to combine with eating out : the generous sized fridge/freezer was perfect for the former and there are so many lovely places to eat in St Ives that we took several of them back home ! A guaranteed parking space in St Ives is an essential. The walk down to the town takes very little time, although unless you are fit I would recommend the gentler route via the steps at the bottom of Tregenna Terrace. An added bonus of being in an apartment on the first floor (just a flight of steps up from ground level) is that there is no need to put the blinds down at night, so we could enjoy all the twinkling light across the valley and harbour. There is so much to see and do in St Ives. Apart from the obvious attractions, don't miss the markets at the Guildhall - art/craft/farmers - Monday to Thursday whilst we were there. The TIC is also very helpful and friendly. It is worth taking the little train to Carbis Bay (£1 per person!) and walking back to St Ives on part of the coast path. We saw a dolphin in the bay and there are often seals. The website @ bigpictureholidays is comprehensive but Sarah Parker is happy to be contacted by email or phone if necessary. I appreciate this personal touch. We had such a lovely week that we are already looking forward to another visit next year.

“A very well appointed appartment in a great location”

Situated just out of the town center, the apartment has access to everything you could need during your stay.All the amenities are only a short distance away. The apartment is very tidy, clean, and comfortable, and family friendly too! With a lovely bay window view of St Ives harbour, we enjoyed the evenings sitting with a glass of wine, and just looking out at the lights and sea. What a relaxing stay!

Personalised Service and Amazing Views

The big selling point is the view from the living room - which is great - right across St Ives,its the Harbour and beyond. The parking immediately outside was really useful - easier for us with a small car than for the other residents with a van, but it works. The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, clean and well appointed. There were only two of us which meant we had loads of space. The living room was comfortable with a good sized TV and nice settees. The kitchen modern and well-equipped with the largest oven we've come across and had everything we needed. There is quite a climb from the town, but you wouldn't the view if it wasn't half way up a hill! The caretakers live in the basement flat and were at hand for any problem and were very nice. The owner allowed us to have a different start and finish day which was very much appreciated and helpful. St Ives is a wonderful place as a town to stay in and as a base for visiting South Cornwall. This was a holiday in October yet sunny and warm! We recommend this apartment, St Ives and the company which gave a personal service.

Lovely well equipped place! Would Defo return

Positives- lovely spacious place, all rooms a good size and everything a family would need. Love the fact it has high chair, toys and kiddies cutlery etc which is a nice to have. Beautiful view from lounge,

Negatives - at night it's a Little noisy as its near an alleyway but not too bad (just the odd inconsiderate drunk) parking space very tight if you have a big car and not easy to manoeuvre

Would definitely return as its a beautiful well equipped place!!!

“Just sit in the window and stare!”

This is very nice, clean and spacious apartment. Views from the reception room window are breathtaking and worth any price. It's very conveniently located in walking distance to all St. Ives attractions. Landlord is pleasure to deal with and very helpful. Highly recommended!
