Lovely Cosy Cottage
By Clark on 01-Sep-2019
My family and I stayed in this lovely cottage during August. We all loved it. Everything you could possibly want could be found in the cottage. The cream tea on arrival was an added bonus. It was like a home from home, lovely and cosy to return to after a day on the beach or sightseeing. The location is really handy as you can walk to the train station in Lelant which serves as the park & ride into St Ives. The train ride is a scenic 10 min ride along the coast to St Ives. We visited 3 pubs which are within walking distance of the cottage. All we’re very good, The Badger Inn, Watermill and Old Quay House. It’s a short drive to Hayle and the 3 mile stretch of beach. We visited Gwithian beach which we found very good for surfing and body boarding. There’s so much to see and do within walking distance or a short drive. I can thoroughly recommend staying in this cottage. Tanya was a very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable host.
A wonderful week in Cornwall
By Hinchliffe on 18-Sep-2018
What a fantastic find Horseshoe Cottage proved to be. The directions sent to us were ‘spot on’. We were greeted by Tanya who directed us down the lane to the cottage. On arrival there was scones, jam & clotted cream,a beautiful vase of flowers on the table and a pint of milk in the fridge. WONDERFUL. The cottage was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped and there was plenty of literature with useful information on things to do and see. We enjoyed the Sunday carvery at the Badger, seal watching at Godrevy Lighthouse but the highlight of the week was our visit to the Minack Theatre. Overall a VERY enjoyable week. We would HIGHLY recommend Trevethoe Cottages and would definitely return there.
