This property has now been converted into a luxury holiday cottage, retaining its original stone exterior, wooden beams and window seats. With many spacious rooms and plenty of outdoor spaces with enclosed garden and separate meadow, which has little don river meandering through its grounds. It is an ideal cottage for celebrating special occasions.
This attractive cottage is within walking distance of Underbank Reservoir, which is a circular walk passing Underbank activity centre and Ye Olde Mustard Pot Pub. Outdoor activities can be taken part in at the activity centre and the pub offers a great lunch time or evening meal.
Stocksbridge itself has a number of shops and pubs and a friendly market every Sunday on Saunders Street. Stocksbridge retail park has some lovely restaurants and bars, shops and a gym. Close by is also the quaint picturesque village of Holmfirth which was the set to the famous series "Last of the summer wine". Take a Last of the summer wines bus tour or visit Sid's Cafe. For children why not visit the award winning Cannon Hall Farm, home to Cows, Goats, Sheep and Shire Horses. There is plenty to do here including the 2 large outdoor playgrounds, sand pit and reptile house.
Only 10 minutes away from the Peak District National Park, this cottage is a great base for anyone who loves long rambles or cycling across breathtaking open countryside.

With 4 bedrooms opening up into the eaves of the cottage, showing off the original oak beams, making them even more spacious.

The cottage entrance has a plenty of space for muddy boots and hanging coats. The utility provides 2 washing machine, tumble dryer, 2 large freezers and practical space away from food prep areas.
To entertain the competitive members of your family the games room offers great entertainment with an air hockey table and table tennis. This large room has a sofa, bean bags and a TV. Although the TV does not have an aerial connection please feel free to bring your own console equipment and games.
Garden and Grounds
With South facing gardens you can enjoy the sun all day long, day dream whilst gazing over the flower beds and watching the wildlife visiting the feeders. You will soon have the ducks joining you for dinner, whilst the garden birds sing you a merry tune. Whether laying on the grass, sitting on the garden furniture or picnic tables in the meadow, cooking on the BBQ or relaxing in the hot tub the garden/meadow has lots to offer for a large family or friends. If the older children require more space for their fun and games, they can venture down into the meadow where both sides of the river can be explored. Please supervise children at all times.
