HOLIDAY HOUSE SWANAGE is an end of terrace Victorian house full of charm and character.

Downstairs there is a cosy comfortable living room with dining area,plenty of seating. T.V., DVD Player,WI-FI .The kitchen has everything you need , dishwasher , washing machine /dryer, microwave ,on from the kitchen is the garden room (tv)with french doors onto garden and secluded seating area for a morning coffee while full english is being sorted out! off Garden room is a downstairs shower room with Wc,

Upstairs there are three bedrooms ,1 x double ,1 x twin and 1 x bunk, bed room,full size 3' beds, bathroom with WC.

Outside is a terraced garden, south hfacing with dining table and plenty of places to sit.

House is 5 mins walk from sea and town , steam railway. Swanage has a good mix of shops, cafes ,art galleries, restaurants, Pubs.

Blue flag sandy beach and Victorian pier for fishing off and catching boat to Brownsea Island. Pedalos,Kayaks ,speed boats can be hired on the front, in the summer months. The house is well equipped and has DVDs , family games ,jigsaws, beach chairs ,windbreak, buckets and spades .So there less for you to pack. There are lots of fantastic walks to do around Purbeck , World Heritage site.


Once you are at the house everything is within walking distance. There is a Steam train to Corfe and open top buses run along coast to Studland. See Purbeck Breezer and MORE buses for times and destinations . Parking is on the street , I cannot promise a space outside every time but you can always pull up to off load as there is a driveway next to house.

Access to house is via a key safe , so it doesn't matter if you arrive at an anti social hour. Entry time is usually after 3pm at busy times but can be earlier by arrangement most other times .

Please be aware that this is a Victorian house, stairs are quite steep, two single steps on ground floor . Garden is on a slope , so first level is reached by steps , please contact me if you have any queries-

Winter stay

We rented the property over four days in November. The home is very welcoming and equipped for everything you need. It has great entertaining areas and two bathrooms.

It’s a short walk from the town with all the shops and restaurants easily accessible. We also spent a few nights in front of the fire and cooked a some nice meals. We went on a few winter walks along the spectacular coastline as well and coming back to the house was such a welcoming retreat!

Chic and comfortable

We were a family group of 5 adults and we fitted into this glorious house really easily. Everything has been kitted out to a really high standard as you would in your own home. Kitchen is well equipped and the welcome pack was a thoughtful gesture. Alison was really helpful with her uptodate local knowledge and her check in communication . Would definitely recommend.

Summer Holiday

A truly beautiful house , home from home and decorated to a truly high standard with everything you need for your holiday. Ideal central location to Swanage town. A lovely added touch from Alison the owner of a welcome gift also. Children loved the bunk beds and the snug room at the rear of the property. Would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone. Winter Weekend Escape

This was our fourth stay at Hanbury Road and it never disappoints. As always, the beautiful home fragrance welcomes you, as you arrive through the front door. The decoration of the whole house is maintained to the high standard we have become accustomed to in both of the owners’ Swanage properties. We enjoyed revisiting local places we are familiar with but were delighted to return to the cozy warmth of 1Hanbury Road to completely relax.

Family Holiday

The house is an easy 10 minute walk into town and the beach or if you like a 15 min stroll in the 30 degree heat we're enjoying at the moment. the house itself if fantasic and the 4 of us couldnt have wished for a better place to stay. The kids loved it and slept really well. The house has everything you'd ever need and plenty of space. It was the carnival week while we were there which meant lots of added things to see and do and swanage itself is a fantastic family place. Alison was great throughout the whole booking process and even left a little gift on our arrival which was a very nice touch and not one we have seen before. If you're thinking of renting this house, do it. you wont be disappointed.

Excellent property well equipped

House accommodated 4 grandchildren and grandparents and had 3screens plus excellent supply of DVDs also beach gear, what more could you want. Off road space for a car was a plus in this busy resort. 10 minutes walk to the beach, town centrer, railway and bus stations. All this made it a very relaxed holiday in this quaint resort

Excellent home within a short walk of town

We stayed for a long weekend in March and had a brilliant weekend. The house is a short walk to the town where there are ample shops and restaurants. We also went on several walks and a morning run along the beach which was stunning in the morning. The house is beautifully decorated throughout and looks as if it has been completely renovated recently. Would strongly recommend.

We had an excellent stay here, the house is well maintained and fully equipped. Decorated to a high standard which made our stay really enjoyable, excellent communication from our host always made you feel welcome and never minded you contacting them. would definitely recommend to family and friends and look forward to staying there again in the future.
