Exceeded Expectations

By I. Knight on 02-Jul-2019

Everything we needed was there. We loved the big comfy lounge, and we were delighted to find that tea towels, washing up liquid, soap etc were all provided. It was a cold weekend, but the heating worked really well so we were very cosy. Really excellent facilities.

Cosy and Ideal Location with Great Amenities within Walking Distance

By Zoe Barclay & Family on 05-May-2018

Wharfe Lodge is a great base to explore the beautiful villages and walks of the Yorkshire Dales. Our family really enjoyed our stay in this cosy swiss style chalet. The Lodge is well equipped and it's location on Long Ashes holiday Park meant we could visit the Game Keepers Pub and Restaurant on site or when the weather was wet we retreated to the swimming pool, spa and cafe which were also on site. We took a 20 minute walk through the fields to the well stocked Spar in Theshfield with the excellent Weatherhead Butchers within the store for some fantastic Yorkshire meat and pies. Grassington is close by with a very helpful Tourist Information Centre and there are some lovely shops and cafes to explore. The local bus service calls in at Long Ashes Park and our children really enjoyed catching the bus along the Dale to Kettlewell and doing the amazing Scarecrow Trail. We look forward to returning again in the summer so that we can be in the area for the Kilnsey Show.

Great Holiday ! Well equipped lodge in wonderful location

By Alison Lillywhite on 07-Apr-2018

We had a really good holiday and felt that the lodge was really well equipped (especially the kitchen) and appreciated the warm duvets. External lights were fitted by the road so no torches were required.

The lodge is in a wonderful location and we loved the hills living on the edge of the Fens it made a pleasant change.

We will book again in future it was so good
