Description

Swift Cottage is one of nine cottages that have been sympathetically converted from the existing buildings of a working farm. Enjoying peace and quiet, the holiday cottages are set amidst pasture land, and benefit from beautiful and unforgettable views of stunning countryside. With a heated 38ft*16ft indoor swimming pool and quality recreational facilities on site, Swift Cottage with its exposed roof beams and open gallery has it all.

Large lounge / dining area with a slate floor - includes flat screen smart TV, incorporating DVD player and USB recording facility, games, books etc. Wood burning stove. Lounge has direct access to the private patio area in the front courtyard. Kitchen - modern style units - well equipped adjacent to dining area. Ground floor bedroom with twin beds, flat screen smart TV and en-suite shower room, staircase to open gallery area. First floor main bedroom with king size bed, flat screen smart TV and en-suite shower room. Heating, linen, towels etc all included. Free Wi-Fi. Swift has the added advantage of rear access to the adjacent communal indoor heated swimming pool and games room and the communal external area for the children's play area, picnic area & barbecue etc.
Externally Swift has a large front patio area with dining table & umbrella, plus a companion timber seat together with barbecue, fire pit, pot plants & shrubs in adjoining flower beds. This area is a sun trap for eating alfresco.

Swift has 2 bedrooms - sleeping 4 and a sofa bed in the living area for one person. Also a travel cot is available.

Family's can enjoy the quite surroundings of the open countryside whilst enjoying a barbecue with just their family or with other families and friends in the communal area for picnics, barbecue etc. whilst the children are playing in close vicinity.

In 2015 Newhouse Barton Management invested in a biomass boiler for the running of the communal building so we have now gone 'Green' and helping the environment. In 2021 we invested in a car charging point - EV Pod Point - 2No 7kW outlets.

Short breaks of 2 days min. are available in the low season.

A small obedient dog is allowed at Swift Cottage - subject to Pet rules and at a cost of £25.00 per visit.

5/5 Gold star rating well deserved. Superb property.. Located on a lovely rural complex but within reach of many of the tourist attractions. Beautiful indoor pool and family facilities. Great, quiet location ... a worry-free package

Großartige, ruhige Lage... ein Rundumsorglos-Paket Das Anwesen ist von Schafen und Weideland umgeben. Der Spielplatz und das Spielzimmer für schlechtes Wetter kamen bei unserer Tochter sehr gut an. Das gesamte Anwesen ist gut gepflegt. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig ist die über WLAN vom Vermieter gesteuerte Heizung. Da die Vermieterin gut per Mail erreichbar ist, reagiert sie schnell und ist hilfsbereit. Wir können die Unterkunft guten Gewissens weiterempfehlen! 05/20/2018 at 12:25 PM You responded Translation from German:- Great, quiet location ... a worry-free package The property is surrounded by sheep and pastureland. The playground and the playroom for bad weather arrived very well with our daughter. The entire property is well maintained. Somewhat hard to get used to is the WLAN controlled by the landlord heating. Since the landlady is well accessible by mail, she responds quickly and is helpful. We can recommend the accommodation in good conscience!
