My wife and are live in Austin, Texas and visit the UK once a year to see family. We used the Walker Boathouse for a family get together of 5 people, it was perfect for our needs. Being on one level it was great for my mother who cannot use stairs. Location - outstanding, overlooks Lake Windermere about 15 minutes walk from restaurants, pubs & shops. The deck overlooking the lake was great for the nice sunny days we had while there. Property - first class. Spotlessly clean and updated to a very high standard. Much thought has gone in to the re-model of an old boathouse. The welcome groceries/wine were much appreciated. The information provided by Helen was very informative and the recommendations on restaurants were excellent, we particularly enjoyed dinner at the Brown Horse pub. Helen was responsive to all our questions and responded very quickly. We have stayed at a lot of Home Away properties throughout the world and this is one of the best. Highly recommended.
