Description
We have been welcoming guests from around the world to Casa Vista Castillo for over 2 decades. Casa Vista Castillo is a comfortable, stylish & unique holiday rental, perched on the famous cliff-edge of Arcos de la Frontera, an inland Andalusian fortress town steeped in centuries of history. Located in the heart of the ""casco antiguo"" or old quarter, the house offers seclusion, tranquility & fantastic eye level bird life, but with the benefit that all the action such as bars, restaurants, local shops & banks are on your door-step.The property´s dramatic location gives the house it´s name, Casa Vista Castillo, as both the terrace & bedrooms benefit from uninterrupted views of Arcos' 9th century Moorish castle, sweeping views of the orange groves and river below, fabulous birdlife & unforgettable evening sunsets. Two french doors open up onto the terrace from the living area, giving the house a comfortable & easy flow. No matter rain or shine, the view is always dramatic & never fails to delight our guests (or us for that matter!).
Located in one of Arcos' prettiest & quietest streets, the house forms part of an Andalusian style residence of Moorish origin with an authentic central Andalusian courtyard.

The living area is simply stunning: airy & spacious with a comfortable sitting-room area, dining room and kitchen. The drama of the room is enhanced by four metre high ceilings and original oak beams from which hang two huge Moroccan lanterns. The interior is simple, stylish and comfortable, with hints of Al Andalus.
The main air-con unit is located in the living area & also doubles as a heating unit in winter.
The kitchen, in traditional andaluz style, is well equipped, with ceramic hob, oven, microwave, kettle, small fridge/freezer, washing machine & cooking utensils.
There are 2 bedrooms, one double, on the ground floor & one twin, accessed via a short spiral staircase and there is a single sofa-bed in the sitting room.
The house sleeps up to 5 adults and is suitable for children aged 3+
Both bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans in the summer & ceramic wall heaters for the winter months.
The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, loo & basin with drawers & storage, as well as an electric towel rail, useful in the winter months for keeping you warm and your towels dry!

It´s All About The Cliff Top!
By Mark on 08-Jan-2015Isabelle was fantastic. My mother was ill and twice she spent half of her day with us at the clinic, navigating the paper work and translating with the doctor. She also dropped off DVD's for mum to watch while she recuperated. The house is awesome, rustic but practical. We stayed in winter and it was warm enough which we had been concerned about. The house is well equipped and comfortable. Really though it is all about the cliff top, the terrace and that stunning view. It is as awesome as it looks on the Web site, maybe even more. Even in winter it was lovely sitting in the afternoon sun on the terrace. It was quite sheltered, after awhile we actually got hot! We spent 8 nights, a lovely lazy time, just hanging on the terrace, venturing out to eat and drink you are right in the old part of town with several lovely places within a few minutes walk.
Location is Spectacular!

The Most Beautiful Apartment

We appreciated the amazing view from the balcony, the well equiped apartement with great atmosphere as well as the peaceful environment of this location. Isabelle was so kind and we had excellent conversations about the region and the historical city of Arcos de la Frontera. We loved it to visit Isabelle in her beautiful shop especially in the evenings. We will recommend the Cliff-edge house to our friends.
The Location is Truly Unique
By Fettje Ieke on 25-Oct-2016A warm welcome from our hostess with clear explanations and many tips. The location is truly unique, with many nice terraces and eateries within walking distance. Very, very narrow streets, but with the mirrors folded in, we reached the location. Our hostess had arranged a spot in a nearby parking garage, which she showed us. Then an interesting tour from the garage to the house. Worth repeating!
An Amazing Stay!

The house in the old neighborhood was a place where we felt good in a relaxed atmosphere. We really loved Arcos, its tapas restaurants, the view, the sun, and the people! The only problem is that we have to come back to discover all the riches we missed, -)
