Wonderful villa, truly home from home
By Sue and Pete / 18 July 2026 on 18-Jul-2026Villa Christina is exceptional, well equipped and literally everything you need for a perfect holiday. It is well maintained, immaculately clean and its location is great - quiet and relaxing but within 10-15 minutes walk of the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. The pool is wonderful and the spacious garden provided various seating opportunities to enjoy the sun or shade at any time of the day. Steve was an excellent host, so helpful from beginning of enquiry and throughout our stay and always quick to respond to any queries, providing direction maps and useful local information. We would certainly not hesitate in recommending this wonderful villa to anyone looking for fantastic homely accommodation and a truly relaxing holiday.

Fantastic Villa with Great Facilities
By Yvonne Moore on 20-Jun-2026Villa Christina is every bit as good as it looks in the pictures. It is very spacious, immaculately clean and has a wonderful private pool. The WIFI and air conditioning are really good throughout the property and there is secure parking within the grounds. The garden is lovely with various seating areas around to enjoy both the sun and shade with plenty of tables, chairs and sun loungers to choose from. The barbecue & gazebo bar areas are an added bonus. El Portil is a lovely unspoilt Spanish town with a fabulous beach that is within walking distance from the property. Plenty of excellent bars and restaurants to choose from and good supermarkets nearby too, all within walking distance. Communication with Steve and Catherine, the owners, was first class and they could not have been more helpful. All in all a fantastic experience, we had such a lovely holiday. Would not hesitate to book again. Thank you
Fantastic, relaxing holiday
By Catherine on 09-Jun-2026Lovely clean villa with all modern conveniences. Private pool was superb with plenty of garden to laze around in. Gazebo bar was also a nice touch. Restaurants all within 10 minutes walk, great food and quite cheap drink also. Would recommend to anyone for relaxing time.
Excellent villa for a family stay
By Sue Steele on 02-Jun-2026Villa Christina was the perfect holiday venue for our family. The outside space fitted our needs exactly - a secure area for our dog, lots of flat space for a crawling baby, and a wonderful, spacious outdoor and pool area to hang out for everyone else. Everything worked well, hot water, comfortable beds, air con, etc. and we enjoying using the bbq area. You can get the car off the road and everything is very secure and lockable outside. Everything is in easy walking distance, coffee place literally 5 mins walk, various helpful takeaways for roast chicken or pizza nearby (shout out for El Obrador de Luis!) and of course the beach which is amazing. We mostly self-catered and the two El Jamon supermarkets plus various other food shops provided everything we needed. We love places which are very Spanish and this was one of them - do not expect to hear lots of English voices. El Portil is also quite quiet during the week, busier at weekends with more bars etc open, but we were there in June which is not school holidays so this may be different later in the Summer. All in all a very good holiday for us, thanks to Steve and Catherine.
Fantastic base for a chill out or touring
By Bill and Sarah on 28-Mar-2026The villa was an instant home from home and our party of five loved it. Because it is used by the owners, it has everything provided to allow visitors to feel comfortable from day one. The facilities are excellent, with many places for entertaining or just chill, from the dining patio at the back to the poolside area and the fun bar at the side. Hot water was always plentiful and the kitchen was well appointed. The local supermarkets provide what you need and many restaurants and cafes (plus the beach) are only 10-12 minutes walk. El Portil may not be on the 'classic' tourist trail, but it is a chilled out resort with many opportunities to walk and cycle in lovely nature, play golf or just hang out by the beautiful beach. Seville and the Donana National park are just over an hour away, and other attractions are closer. Huelva is nearby. Whilst it might be an industrial town, the centre is very nice and there are plenty of opportunities for touristic visits (including Columbus' ships), eating and drinking. We had a fantastic week here and would recommend it to anybody. Parking is easy, either in front of the house or in the carport. It is just over an hour from Faro or Seville, so very easy to get to after flights in. Steve was always super helpful with any queries and was happy to recommend places to go. There are two folders in the house with all the logistical and touristic information you will need. Book it. You won't be disappointed. We hope to return.
