Description
A charming, restored Flour Mill with private swimming pool (6m x 4m) sole use for guests. Situated in the peaceful countryside of Andalucia. Just 55 minutes drive from Malaga Airport and 6 minutes drive to the typical white village of Periana where you will find all the local shops, bars, restaurants and amenities required for a perfect stay.The area is beautiful surrounded by olive groves, fruit trees, nature, rivers and mountains and is suitable for families, friends sharing, hikers and ramblers to explore or simply relax and unwind at this unique and tranquil getaway.
The Mill is a historic building and was once a bakery which supplied bread to the local community. It was restored keeping many original features, including the original machinery and bread oven creating the wonderful atmosphere and rustic charm. The property has 10 steps leading up to the upper gardens and pool area. There is Air Conditioning and Heating.
The house has a front entrance with a terrace and seating area, the front door leads you into an open-plan fully fitted kitchen, dining & living room with wood burner. On this ground level there is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with and a bathroom with wash basin, shower, toilet and bidet.
Up 10 steps there is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with wash basin, shower, toilet and bidet. This upper level leads outside to the al fresco dining area, terrace, swimming pool, BBQ, gardens and lounging areas.
All the windows are fitted with mosquito nets.
Due to the location of the property a car is required. Parking is directly outside the house. Guests are advised to travel with adequate Health Insurance.
Pets: are allowed, by request only.
Cancellation Policy:
Deposit: 30% of the total is required to secure the booking.
Balance: 70% of the total is required 6 weeks before the date of arrival.
If cancelled 30 days or more before the date of arrival 70% of the total will be refunded.

They even took all our rubbish/recycling to the tip…so kind. We would thoroughly recommend them and their villa to anyone who wants a complete re charge. Thanks

Louisa was a true host, greeting us and showing us around, recommending and booking restaurants for us, getting local oranges delivered for juice etc. The place felt private despite the fact Louisa was just next door, so it was best of both worlds as if we needed anything she was moments away. The pool is amazing, we loved the shaded table outside so we could eat out there even in the heat of the day. Each bedroom has very comfortable beds, and the two bathrooms were great. Everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was decked out with everything you could need, from a juicer (for the local oranges), to all different sized pots and pans, to as many plates and cups you’d need for the day - meaning the dishwasher went once a day and we didn’t have to worry about running out. As the description says, you definitely need a car, and a confident driver as the roads can be uneven. Louisa was great at recommending a good hire company. We had the most amazing week!

By Boris on 08-Aug-2024We had a great time in this old mill, the swimming pool was a good place to cool off. It was very hot outside but inside really cool because of the aircon. The house is located a bit outside the small town and you definitely need a car.

They arranged a cot, high chair and even some toys for our daughter. The place is really well equipped and has a lovely pool, which is ideal for warm days. This is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday.

The kitchen had everything we needed, and the hosts were wonderful: they greeted us on arrival, provided bottled water, often left bowls of fresh fruit (and even mint for cocktails!), and even reserved us a table at a local restaurant. We loved the outdoor area and pool, with peaceful surroundings and lovely views making it a great place to relax. The house feels private and quiet, yet Periana is a charming little town nearby with great restaurants overlooking the lake, and the coast is only half an hour away. Access is via a winding, rocky track that’s fine if you go slow — a small SUV helps. Overall, a wonderful stay — highly recommended.
