Casa Roseena is located in the tranquil and traditional village of Tindaya.

The villa overlooks the sacred mountain of Tindaya, the Atlantic Ocean and enjoys further open countryside and mountain views.

The villa is just a 10 minute drive away from the coast and the local beaches of Playa Tebeto and Playa Jurago, deemed a hidden gem. Both are among Fuerteventura’s most secluded spots.

Casa Roseena offers you a place to unwind, tap into the energy of the sacred mountain of Tindaya and experience a slice of paradise on an island in the sun. There is easy access by road to nearby towns, villages and beautiful beaches or you can tour the island and enjoy its culture, natural treasures and nightlife knowing you have your own little oasis of calm to return to for relaxing and recharging ready for another exciting day.

Casa Roseena is a large, 3 bedroomed detached villa set within a 1300 m2 plot of tropical gardens with flora and fauna indigenous to the Canaries all surrounded by a beautiful volcanic stone wall. There is a large parking area at the front of the villa which is accessed through a sliding gate.

The villa is set over two floors with the kitchen, dining and a seating area in the centre of the villa and bedrooms at each end. Upstairs is a relaxing lounge with access to a large roof terrace with stunning views.

The villa’s main entrance is via a covered and enclosed porch area with tinted and reflective glass. There is also a seating area where you can watch the world go by (though not much passes) and it also provides access to a utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board along with a large fridge freezer and cleaning materials if needed.

Casa Roseena has three large bedrooms: a master with ensuite, a double and a twin room all with fans, hairdryer and mosquito screens so you can sleep in comfort with the fresh breeze and the sound of the sea provided by one of the palms in the garden.

The Master bedroom is located on the southern end of the villa with views over the garden and pool via tinted and reflective glass window. It has triple built-in wardrobes with a safe inside along with drawer units so there’s plenty of space for clothes and all your personal belongings. The large ensuite shower room offers his and hers sinks, toilet and bidet.

Both the double and twin rooms have double built-in wardrobes along with drawers and bedside units which again offer ample storage. These rooms are located on the northern end of the villa with views to the side garden and share a bathroom with full bath and overhead shower, sink and toilet.

The villa has a fully equipped kitchen, including microwave, dulce gusto coffee machine and dishwasher.

The villa has a relaxing lounge upstairs with sofas, a TV and DVD player and Internet/wifi access. The lounge opens onto an extensive roof terrace with stunning views towards the Atlantic Ocean, Montana Tindaya as well as open countryside and mountains that surround the village.

At the rear of the villa is a large private pool and terrace with outside shower. There is also an open pergola area and a further covered and enclosed pergola with tinted and reflective glass which can also be opened via 3 large sliding doors. The pergola offers a space to escape the sun during the day whilst still close to the pool and a peaceful and comfortable area to enjoy in the evening to eat and relax whilst watching the stars. All of this is surrounded by traditional Canarian volcanic rock walls providing additional privacy.

Booking information:

We are happy to start and end bookings on any day of the week, subject to availability.

The villa can be accessed from 15:00hrs on your day of arrival and should be vacated by 11:00hrs on your day of departure. Depending on other bookings we may be able to be flexible with these times - please inquire when booking.

A 30% (non refundable) deposit is required to hold all bookings, with the balance payment due 6 weeks prior to guest arrival (or full payment if booking is made less than 6 weeks prior to arrival). Payment can be made by bank transfer in Stirling or Euros - details provided on request

Price is for two people additional guests will incur an additional charge of £80.00 per week – again we may be able to be flexible with this depending on the length of stay and age of additional guests.

Laundry provided includes: All bedding, 1 Bath Sheet 1 Bath Towel 1 Hand Towel per person per week, plus tea towels and tablecloth..

The prices shown includes the local tourist tax which we will pay.

The property will be cleaned for your arrival, however, should you require any extra cleaning, this can be arranged locally. More information will be provided with booking confirmation including a local contact. Longer stays e.g 3 months will include weekly/fortnightly cleans - this will be agreed with you at time of booking and we are happy to review the weekly rental charges for you if your booking exceeds 3 weeks.

The pool will be cleaned before your arrival and midway during the first week and twice weekly for any additional weeks booked.

Car is highly recommended due to the villa's location.

About Tindaya

Tindaya mountain holds significant historical and cultural importance. It was a sacred site for the prehistoric Mahos people who created hundreds of engravings on its slopes, believed to be linked to their spiritual beliefs and astronomical observations. The mountain is a protected natural area and a Site of Cultural Interest.

The village of Tindaya which is set at the foot of the mountain now has three cafe bars, a restaurant and three small shops providing for essentials and where freshly baked bread is available twice a day. A larger supermarket can be found in the nearby village of Villaverde (a 10 minute drive) and a wider range of shops and supermarkets can be found in the nearby towns of El Cotillo, Corralejo or the capital Puerto del Rosario which are all about a 30 minute journey by car.

Days Out

Casa Roseena is an ideal base from which to explore the wild and beautiful island of Fuerteventura. Visit the nearby traditional Spanish town of Villaverde with its excellent restaurants, the historical La Oliva and the up-and-coming bohemian town of Lajares, Los Molinos, a hidden gem, or the more cosmopolitan coastal towns of Corralejo and its expansive, stunning dunes and El Cotillo with its beautiful lagoons. The island of Los Lobos (Isla de Lobos), accessible via a short boat ride from Corralejo harbour, is a must with its natural park and protected nature reserve renowned for its pristine beaches and diverse flora and fauna. There is something for everyone in the north of the island: peace and tranquility, sea, surf and water sports, natural wonders, a huge choice of seafood, cosmopolitan restaurants, lively and varied nightlife, live music and dance, artisan markets and annual, traditional, cultural, culinary, religious and music festivals. Exploring further afield, you can visit the small remote fishing village of Ajuy and its spectacular caves (Cuevas de Ajuy) and, in the south of the island, the Jandia Peninsula, Costa Calma and Morro Jable. A must see are the stunning beaches of Sotavento de Jandia, famous for international wind surfing and kite surfing competitions as well as its tidal lagoons. Alternatively, take a trip off road and visit Playa de Cofete with its remote, rugged and wild coastline where you will be able to experience the true beauty and spirit of the island where sea meets sand and mountain.

Nightlife

The lively, vibrant towns of Corralejo and El Cotillo can be reached within 30 minutes by road. They offer a huge choice of places to eat, drink and enjoy live music. Highly recommended is the Rock Island Bar in Corralejo and Corralejo Music Square in the old town. El Cotillo is the place to enjoy a quality meal and drink and take in a stunning sunset. For a quieter evening, Tindaya offers local bars and a restaurant or you could always just relax and chill around the pool at the villa and watch the sun go down from there.

Local Specialities

Sampling the local specialities is a must when visiting Fuerteventura. Pappas Arrugadas (wrinkly Canarian potatoes) served with Mojo sauce is a traditional delicious tapas dish which is also served with main fish dishes in many restaurants. Fuerteventura, and Tindaya itself, is the home of the factory producing the delicious Queso Majorero (goat’s cheese) made from the milk of the native Majorera goats. The local tipple of Ron Miel (honey rum) is a deliciously sweet locally made liqueur or try a Barraquito, a sweet, layered coffee with 43 licor. Fuerteventura and the wider Canary Islands also offer many quality locally produced wines to enjoy.

Markets

Bohemian and artisan markets can be found in Corralejo, El Cotillo and Lajares, selling a range of beautiful, locally made and handcrafted quality items, including artwork and jewellery.

Climate

The Canary Islands are known for all year sunshine and are a favourite with many wishing to escape the colder winter months in the UK. Fuerteventura is known as the Windy Island with a pleasant breeze and is famous for the annual International Windsurfing Championships held in the south of the island. Average temperatures in the summer months are 25 to 26 C and in the winter months reach 20 to 23 C. During the cooler months, the evenings can get a little chilly outside of the bigger towns and a jacket is recommended at night.

Transport

You can fly into Fuerteventura airport direct many UK and other international airports. From there, it is a 30 minute journey by car to Casa Roseena. Car hire is highly recommended due to the location of Tindaya. There are many good roads to enable you to get around the island but, as the island is rugged and wild, there is also the opportunity to explore off road to reach the more remote and hidden secrets of Fuerteventura. There are local bus routes serving Tindaya but a car will give you more freedom and choice. Local taxis based in the larger towns of Corralejo and El Cotillo can be used if necessary.

Tourist Information

There is a local tourist office in Corralejo near the harbour. Kiosks at the harbour sell tickets for boat crossings to Lobos Island and for other local boat trips including snorkelling, glass bottom boat trips and catamaran trips. Two ferry companies, Balearia and Fred Olsen, operate trips to neighbouring Lanzarote, bookable at Corralejo harbour. Carnival (Spring time), Kite Festival (November) and the Wind Surfing World Championships (Summer) are just a few of the many annual events and Fiestas that take place on the Island. Fuerteventura is also renowned for its choice of water sports including kite surfing, windsurfing, wing foiling, jet-ski hire, snorkelling and much more.
