Lovely 1st floor, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, apartment with air con (hot & cold), shared pools & beautiful gardens, within secure complex in idyllic setting. Large, sunny, south west-facing terrace with breathtaking views, perfect for al fresco dining. 5 mins walk from a beautiful cove and beach of sand & rocks. 5-10 min walk within our pretty village to 2 fantastic restaurants, a lovely tapas bar & a super local shop selling general provisions, fresh bread and cakes etc.

Spend your days swimming in crystal-clear waters, snorkelling in secluded coves or relaxing on the cafe sun terraces overlooking the sea. The dramatic coastline and scenic walking trails make it a paradise for nature lovers, while the calm, welcoming atmosphere makes it an ideal escape for couples, families and anyone looking to unwind.

Cala Fornells is perfectly located for exploring the best of southwest Mallorca. Visit the beautiful marina at Port d'Andratx, enjoy a round of golf on one of the nearby championship courses, or venture into the spectacular Serra de Tramuntana mountains with their charming villages, breathtaking viewpoints and scenic drives. Deia and Soller are a beautiful drive away - take the breathtaking coastal road, or take the vintage train from Palma to Soller, and the "Orange Express" tram from Soller down to the port for a day trip with a difference.

Just 10-15 minutes' walk away (less than a mile) is the popular resort of Paguera, home to three golden sandy beaches connected by a lively palm-lined promenade. You'lll find an excellent choice of restaurants, cafés, bars, boutiques and supermarkets, along with watersports, boat trips and evening entertainment. Peguera has a local outdoor market on the main boulevard on Tuesday mornings. Whether you prefer a relaxed beachfront lunch or dining under the stars, there's something to suit every taste. The walk to Peguera has wonderful views of the sea one side and the tumbling flowers of Cala Fornells on the other, all the way.

There are so many great locations on our doorstep - the next bay of Camp De Mar with its restaurant on the little island over a footbridge, or a great chiringuito on the sands, is a lovely hour's walk over the forested headland - or a 2 minute drive (1 mile by car), or a 5 minute bus trip (bus stop less than 10 minute walk from apartment) There is also a lovely walk from Cala Fornells to the historic watchtower on the same headland with views to Ibiza on a good day (owned for many years, with the nearby 2 villas, by Claudia Schiffer, who has since moved her holiday home a mile away to Camp De Mar). The watchtower is visible on the horizon from our balcony.

Next along is Port Andratx (5 miles by car or bus) with its renowned seafood restaurants lining the seafront overlooking the marina and the fish market (open c. 5pm - 7pm, watch the trawlers unloading & buy their wares from the market). Stop by famous Tim's Bar for a drink, or dine at the Cappuccino or Miramar - watch the spectacular sunset from any of those...

St Elm is another favourite for a change - the most south westerly tip of the island - a beautiful few minutes' drive, a lovely beach and several great restaurants overlooking the sea. Boat trips to the uninhabited nature reserve of Dragonera island. Another place with a spectacular sunset, shown on the photos.

The vibrant city of Palma is only around 30 minutes away by car. Explore its beautiful old town with its narrow cobbled streets, stylish boutiques and lively cafés, visit the impressive waterfront cathedral, browse local markets, enjoy first-class restaurants, eat with the locals in the fantastic local tapas bars or food markets, or simply soak up the atmosphere in one of the city's picturesque squares. Palma perfectly combines history, culture, shopping and nightlife. We love to park at Portixol and walk into Palma city along the seafront, with the cathedral in full view ahead.

Whether you're looking for a relaxing beach holiday, an active adventure or a base for discovering Mallorca, Cala Fornells offers the perfect setting. With sunshine, spectacular scenery and easy access to beaches, restaurants, golf courses and some of the island's most iconic villages.

We are often asked what it is like on Mallorca in the winter, or even just outside of the traditionally hottest summer period.

We love it here in the “shoulder seasons” and winter. The island of Mallorca enjoys over 300 days of sunshine through the year. It is quieter in winter, of course, and some of the restaurants take a well earned break, but many people live in Cala Fornells and particularly the bigger town of Peguera all year round. The supermarkets in Peguera are open all year, and more than half of the restaurants in the town are open at any time in the winter. Some of the restaurants do close for a few weeks in the winter, at varying times. However there are still plenty of good restaurants and supermarkets in walking distance all year, and the buses run all year round. It is the perfect time to explore, and the area tends to attract visitors who appreciate this.

It is a great time to immerse yourself in the culture - from the numerous fiestas which run through the year, to a wine tour at one of the island's family run vineyards.

Mallorca in winter is a quieter, more enchanting version of the island, perfect for travellers who crave beauty without the bustle. Imagine wandering through honey coloured villages, breathing in crisp sea air along peaceful coastal paths, and lingering over long, cosy lunches in family run restaurants where the season’s flavours shine. The beautiful almond blossom that floods the interior of the island is prevalent January to March. With its mild Mediterranean climate, dramatic mountain scenery, and a slower, more authentic rhythm, Mallorca becomes a sanctuary for relaxation, culture, and wellbeing. A winter escape here feels like discovering the island’s best kept secret — serene, soulful, and irresistibly refreshing.

We usually hire a car so we can explore but many of these other towns and villages, including Palma, are accessible by bus. The nearest bus stop is less than a 10 minute walk. Taxis are available in Peguera and Palma.

The complex is gated, with communal gardens, a pool with separated children’s pool, loungers & parasols. Non-smoking. No pets. No parties. This is a quiet area and we ask you to respect our neighbours. The apartment is half an hour from the airport, and is perfectly situated to explore this beautiful island. To avoid confusion, the photos show the cove & beach which are 5 & 10 minute walk. We do not overlook the beach and do not have a sea view, but we do have fabulous views overlooking the pools, gardens and hills beyond, as shown in the pictures. The apartment is 88 sq metres including balcony. We have an open plan living/dining area with small kitchen area with all appliances - oven, hob, full size fridge & freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine & dishwasher. We have provided a range of crockery, cutlery, glasses, utensils, pans, serving dishes etc - this is our holiday home as well, remember! Separate utility room off kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer and ceiling pulley to dry clothes. We have tried to provide everything you need to enable you to relax straight into holiday mode (works for us too!!).

We have a selection of novels (British and German) on the bookshelf in the hall, and several guide books. We also have a small selection of children's books and games, and eg dominos/Uno, also on the bookshelf. We have a good quality travelcot in the wardrobe in Bedroom 1, please bring your own cot bedding as this is not provided, thanks.

The 2 bedrooms are either side of the living area, so give some privacy. Bedroom 1 (King) has ensuite bathroom with shower over, fitted wardrobes & juliet balcony overlooking the shared pools.
Bedroom 2 (twin) is a smaller room, also having fitted wardrobes & drawer space, and a separate shower room adjacent. Window overlooking rear shared gardens.
Both bathrooms have electric heated towel rails so you can have toastie warm towels.

Spacious, sunny, south west-facing terrace with lovely view of pools and forested hills in distance is accessed off the living area (via lockable doors) and has dining furniture for 4 & 2 loungers. Beautiful shared gardens, an adult and separate children's pool, with loungers & parasols. Pools maintained regularly. Shower and toilet facilities adjoin the pools. Free street parking at front and rear of complex.

The apartment is light and bright, also with a sun awning on the terrace and the living area set back from the full glare of the sun, providing an easy welcome break in the middle of the day from the pool or nearby beach if you have small children.

We are on the first floor (ground plus 1). We have a flatscreen 50" TV with a huge choice of TV channels of many countries including British, German, Spanish, French. We also have a Google wifi speaker to connect your own music (or connect to British BBC Radio channels) and full fibre fast broadband. We have hot & cold air conditioning, making it perfect for year round holidays.

Please arrive after 3pm. We advise daytime flights. Checkout by 10am please.

We are a half hour drive from the airport. To get the best out of the area, we recommend hiring a car although it is not essential.

25% deposit required on booking please. Remainder, plus a £250 security deposit, payable 8 weeks before your holiday. Security deposit repaid after your holiday assuming no damages & key received back safely by us.

The area is not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties or who needs an aid/assistance to walk as it is fairly hilly. Anyone of normal average fitness will be OK. No parties or hen/stag nights. Minimum age of principal renter 25. If you want a nightclub holiday, this is not for you! As is normal with Spanish communities, we have a set of reasonable community rules which we ask you to adhere to, which benefit everyone (eg but not limited to, no glass at the pool/no shouting/swearing/divebombing at the pool etc). This works well for all our guests and the community in this peaceful area.
