Description
“The Little House" in hilly Deia is ideal for a couple seeking a magical escape in mountains of Mallorca. Located on a traditional citrus and nut tree terrace that is walking distance from the heart of the village. The charming cottage has pretty terrace and large garden. It is a wonderful spot for a week of hiking, eating and relaxing in Deia area.The property has new modern kitchen with open plan lounge, large bedroom with luxury king size bed and wet room shower room . New air conditioning in the bedroom.
The large garden has many mediterranean trees: Lemon, orange, almond, olive, quince, fig and beautiful bougainvilleas. A traditional pebble/terracotta terrace surrounds the property allowing for outdoor living. Amazing vistas to the church of St Joan, a sea view down the valley to Cala Deia all surrounded with a backdrop of the Sierra Tramuntana mountain range.
Outside are several dinning tables and 4 sun-loungers areas with shade or sun. WIFI coverage extends to the terrace too.
Internally it is light and airy with high ceilings. The kitchen is well equipped: Full size dishwasher, washing machine, oven/grill, ceramic hob, Nespresso classic pod machine, extractor fan & fridge. The house also has underfloor heating and log burner for when the weather is cooler.
The property is accessed initially on a beautiful stone stepped path down through lemon groves, then by a rustic donkey track to the gate. Located just out of the village centre (a 6 minute walk to Forn Deia - the fabulous bakery and deli).
**The house unfortunately is not suitable for children or those with limited mobility due to the nature of the moorish terraces and steps down 5 lemon terraces to the property.**
The Area:
Ideal for those wishing to enjoy Deia's art, culture and gastronomy and explore further afield with amazing walks, hikes and cycle rides through the mountains and coastal ways. Cala Deia is 25 minute walk down the valley, through lower village which is called Es Clot. Port Sóller is a 20 minute drive, here you can find a large sandy beach and ample Mallorcan cafes and. restaurants. Valldemossa is a 15 minute drive in the other direction, equally as beautiful and historical.
Home Facilities:
The kitchen and living area are open-plan. Bar stools at the kitchen bar and a sofa and dining table. We have smart table and glassware. A pantry selection of oils, vinegars, herbs and spices always available.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bed-side cabinets, lamps & mirrors (and magnifying mirror). Bed linen and bath towels are provided. An iron, ironing board & hairdryer are provided together with drying rack and Miele vacuum cleaner. A coolbag with freezer packs are provided. And don’t forget to practice yoga on the stone terrace. (Yoga mats, small weights and rollers available).
In the bathroom there is a large walk in overhead shower and second handheld faucet. WC and sink with cupboard. Shower gel and hand soaps are provided.
Property has Balearic Island tourist license ETV for rental permissions.
Prices:-
- The prices are per night. Minimum stay is 4 nights.
- Standard linen and utility costs are included.
- Additional cleaning / linen extra can be arranged - extra charges apply.
- Car parking permit for residents zone is possible.
- A cautionary security deposit is requested.
- Island tourist taxes are extra
Check-in 16:00 and check-out 09:00.
Week days are preferred checkin days.
Key box check-in or keys can be issued by prior arrangement with the owner. We do try to be flexible where possible.
(Late arrivals could incur additional charges if assistance is required - but not normally an issue). Guests passport details are now required to be submitted in-line with new tourist taxes and protocols.

Beautiful setting with amazing views - perfect for a relaxing break
By Paul Thorne on 13-Jun-2024We had an amazing stay at The Little House. The finca is very well situated, just a short walk from the centre of the pretty village of Deia. The house is immaculately presented, with everything we needed. It was restful and quiet with brilliant day time views and night skies to savour. We had a lovely dinner at Sebastian's and strongly recommend a visit.
Where to start..
By Ged&Jo on 31-May-2024We honeymooned at 'The Little House' and returned ten years later to celebrate our Anniversary. It was no less magical than our first visit. If you need to take time and space to repair and nourish it's perfect. Everything about the place 'feels' just right and the owners are a joy. The light every morning was smile inducing and there's a night sky to take your breath away. I can't really do the whole experience justice....go! Ged+jo xX

A magical little finca
By Beth on 11-May-2024Beautiful little finca in such a great location. The “little house “ has been furnished to a very high standard. It has all appliances needed & a very comfortable bed. It was lovely to sit on the terrace in amongst the lemon & orange trees. Deia is a charming little village with just the right amount of bars, restaurants and shops. We had a delicious dinner at restaurant Sebastian and would highly recommend a visit.
Beautiful garden amazing views and a very private place
By Judith Silk on 20-Sep-2023We had an amazing time, the house is very quaint with a unique position. You have views of the sea and of the mountains. We were impressed with everything in the house it was modern but with still the Spanish finca touches. We will definitely visit Can Borino again.
Fantastic stay at the beautiful house in Deia

The setting is very peaceful with stunning views of the surrounding area, making it the perfect place for a relaxing holiday. The charming house is maintained to a very high standard with modern interior whilst maintaining its Mediterranean character. It is equipped with everything you could possibly need and there is plenty of space for dining, both inside and outside on the pretty terrace, overlooking the lovely garden. It’s just a short 10 minute stroll into the picturesque village of Deia which has several fantastic restaurants and bars. Overall this is an amazing place to stay for a wonderful holiday. Can’t wait to return.

The accommodation in this beautiful Finca is perfect from it's modern interior within character with all facilities you would need to it's stunning location with amazing views . It is super accessible to the main village but has that amazing tranquility so you can fully relax. The outdoor space is amazing to relax during the day but also to sit outside and enjoy in the evening also either pre going out or when you return. The proximity of amazing walks/hikes and beautiful coves is perfect and add this to the good infrastructure means everything is really accessible to make your stay super amazing.
