Description
This is a beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, in a very peaceful location on the south coast of Menorca. As this is the owner's dream home, it has a lovely homely feel to it. Perfect for a relaxing holiday!The private, 9 metre long pool, lovely garden and terrace with barbecue receive sunlight practically all day. The ample roof terrace enjoys extensive sea views and is ideal for admiring the sunsets.
There are four air-conditioning units, a comfortable lounge with large TV, a classy dining room with french windows giving onto the pool and garden with sea views, a very large kitchen with all you need, a back terrace with swing sofa, dining table and barbecue. The garden is surrounded by high walls for intimacy. It has two double bedrooms and two rooms with single beds.
It is in easy walking distance of the centre which has a good variety of restaurants, bars and shops. There are plenty of options to spend a pleasant evening out. Several of the bars offer live entertainment ideal for families and couples. Also within easy walking distance are the extraordinary Xoroi caves.
Cala en Porter is a popular, yet tranquil resort based by a beautiful beach at the bottom of a cliff-lined cove. It is ideal for families and for couples and many holiday makers return year after year. The beach is a 15 minute walk or 3 minutes with a car.
The beach is very safe for children. There are sun loungers , sun umbrellas and pedalos available for hire. There are several companies offering kayak tours along the cave packed coast line or direct hire of kayaks. Boat hire is also available. By the side of the beach are a couple of bar-restaurants.
In the centre, ten minutes walk away, there are numerous restaurants and bars, several of them offering a variety of live music entertainment.
The Caves of Xoroi, an extraordinary bar-discoteque in a cave half way down the cliffs above the sea is less than ten minutes walk and yet is completely out of earshot owing to its location.
Within walking distance are Cales Coves, another beautiful cove known for its numerous prehistoric caves.
A 15 minute drive or a 25 minute bus ride away is the capital Mahón, famous for its magnificent port guarded by fortresses and defence towers. You can go on boat trips around the port, there is an open air market two or three times a week and in the summer an evening handicraft market with live music in the streets.
One of the great attractions of Menorca is that it has remained unspoilt. The whole island is a Biosphere Reserve and 68% of the island is protected. It is great for walking in Spring and Autumn.
In 2023 the prehistoric heritage of the island was declared a World Heritage Site for its numerous and unique monuments.
Menorca has also been declared a "Destination Starlight" for its clear skies, great for stargazing.
Probably most holiday makers who come to stay with us don't hire a car. However with a car you can explore this fascinating island. As it is small there is nowhere more than an hour's drive away. However for a small island Menorca has a tremendous diversity. The northern half is completely different to the southern side of the island. The old capital Ciutadella is a very elegant city with an aristocratic and medieval flavour to it, completely different to the present day capital.
By car you can enjoy the panoramic views from Monte Toro, go to the fishing villages of Fornells and Binibequer and visit the prehistoric sites or old fortresses.
There are many unspoilt beaches, including several which have been named amongst the most beautiful beaches in the world. To visit these beaches you will need a car and will often have to walk as well.

This villa will be our first choice
By Carsten on 11-May-2026Like the others, we were thrilled with the villa. Quietly situated, lovingly furnished, with so many wonderful opportunities to relax. Just sitting on the rooftop terrace in the evenings, enjoying a meal and the sea view, was simply beautiful. The hosts are friendly and always available. If we ever return to Menorca, this villa will be our first choice. Wie auch die anderen waren wir von der Villa begeistert. Ruhig gelegen, liebevoll ausgestattet, mit so vielen schönen Möglichkeiten, sich zu entspannen. Alleine schon abends auf der Dachterrasse zu sitzen, etwas zu essen und den Blick aufs Meer zu haben war wunderschön.Die Gastgeber sind freundlich und jederzeit ansprechbar. Villa exceeded every expectation
By Valerie on 11-Jun-2026We are 2 adults 3 teenagers, we stayed 9 nights in this beautiful villa which exceeded every expectation - we felt so at home, with so many chill out zones & nooks, rooftop for morning coffee and evening meals / sunset drinks, in under the swing bench for afternoon reading, sitting in the pool to cool down...we went kayaking in under caves, swam in a few different beaches and Frans BLUE book was so invaluable for tips and tricks, Fran went over and above for us, so friendly and helpful- I love my garden and real house plants, and Fran had an Oasis inside and outside, we picked strawberries and apricots and the lemons we ate were from the tree...a holiday we will hold in our hearts forever
Stunning views
By Amy on 31-May-2026We’ve just arrived home after a wonderful week in Frances’ beautiful home. The property is very beautiful and homely, peaceful and surrounded by many stunning views. The swimming pool was well used as were all areas of the garden which have been carefully thought of providing everything you need. We didn’t have a car and certainly didn’t need one as there are so many lovely attractions that are walkable. France’s and his wife were wonderful, friendly, responsive and perfect hosts. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
