Casa Beni perches on its own 'infinity' platform on the very edge of the lovely white-washed village of Canillas de Aceituno. The villa has three bedrooms en-suite and is beautifully decorated throughout. The main open-plan living space includes a fully equipped modern kitchen, large dining table, big sofas and a wood-burning fire. There is a large covered terrace just outside the living room with a mosaic table for 10. There are also various other seating areas around the property and a large gas BBQ. The 8m x 4m swimming pool is set on its own gated terrace below the villa. There are 8 sun-loungers which are light enough to be moved around to the different terraces and large parasols to block out the mid-day sun.

The wonderful thing about Casa Beni is that you can walk to the centre of the village in 5 minutes and yet sitting on the terrace in the evening, listening to the crickets, one feels as if one is in the deep countryside.

Round and About: Canillas is a wonderfully friendly hospitable village with about 3 restaurants and lots of bars. You can do all your shopping up here as there are several greengrocers, a couple of shops butchers, fishmongers a chemist and 3 banks etc.
A 20 minute drive takes you down to an enormous supermarket, Eroski, and an outlet centre which has all the best shops in it and also a cinema. A bit further on there is an Aqua Park and then the Mediterranean Sea where there are many lovely beach bars. Riding and hiking all over the country side and up into the Sierra Tejada National Park which borders Casa Beni. Mountain biking is also fantastic from here but one needs to be fit!
Malaga provides so many things to see and do - remember that this was Picasso's birth place so there are lots of art galleries and museums.

Beautiful villa in serene setting

By Stacey on 24-Oct-2016

My husband and I were on a three week trip to Spain, traveling from Barcelona, to the Basque Country, Asturias and Granada. By the time we reached Canillas de Aceituno, we were ready for some quiet time and Casa Beni was the perfect place. The villa was lovely, spacious and well appointed. We like to cook, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Sonia and Ian were great and very helpful with information about the area. It was helpful that they spoke English as I was the only one in our group who spoke Spanish.

Stunning in every way

By Laurie on 06-Oct-2016

Believe every single one of these 5-star reviews; Casa Beni truly is that amazing! We were 5 adults (siblings and spouses) visiting this region of Spain for the 1st time. Unfortunately for us, our 3-week European holiday was packed solid with places to go, things to see and do every day ~~ I say unfortunately because it would have been absolutely divine to have had many more days just hanging at Casa Beni, enjoying the pool, the terraces, the view!, cooking in Angie's very well-equipped kitchen, dining alfresco, etc etc etc. As it was, we used it as our home base to visit Malaga, Granada, Nerja, Fragiliana and Ronda. It was perfect! We loved returning each evening in time for stunning sunsets and walking to dinner in town. Dinner at La Maroma is a must! Delightful father, sons and daughter that will ensure you enjoy their food and your evening. Everything on the menu is delicious. My advice: stay at Casa Beni for 1 week, 2 weeks, longer; you will not want to leave. We were sad to depart. Thank you, Angie, for creating such a warm and welcoming home, and sharing it with guests. We loved everything!

Even better than 'that good'

By Nicholas on 29-Jun-2016

We were initially attracted to this property by the flattering photos and the uniformly positive reviews, although we secretly thought that nothing could be that good. On arrival we discovered that not only is Casa Beni 'that good', it is even better. The villa is situated in a stunning location with breathtaking views across the lake and mountains to the sea beyond. Three attractive terraces afford perfect vantage points for enjoying these views, as well as for sunbathing, alfresco dining and even, for the more energetic, playing table tennis. There is also a large swimming pool on a lower terrace which enjoys the sun throughout the day. The interior of the villa is of the same high quality with a well-equipped kitchen opening onto a tastefully furnished living/dining area, and three large bedrooms, two of them en suite. We chose the upstairs master- bedroom which is light, bright and airy, and opens onto a delightful terrace. The villa and grounds are so spacious that even after a week, we felt we had not explored them fully or made full use of all the options. Though there were only two of us, this villa can comfortably accommodate a group of six adults. Apart from the many and manifest attractions of the villa itself, we were drawn by its close proximity to the village of Canillas, the centre of which is just ten minutes walk away from the villa. We quickly adopted the evening habit of strolling down to our favourite bar in the village square for a 'pint' of San Miguel and a bit of people-watching. The village contains several small but surprisingly well stocked food shops, as well as a number of good bars and restaurants tucked away in its labyrinth of narrow cobbled streets. This is a picture-perfect Andalucian white village in a wonderful setting in the mountains. In brief, it is hard to find enough superlatives to describe this villa and its location. For us, it was a little bit of paradise which even the EU referendum result on our final day could not spoil! Finally, I would like to thank Angie, the owner, who dealt with all of our enquiries promptly, efficiently and amiably and by so doing made the whole process of booking the villa completely hassle-free. We can strongly recommend this villa to couples and families, without reservation.

Beautiful villa with crystal clear swimming pool, perfectly appointed house, gorgeous views in every direction, and and owner who was warm, responsive and very knowledgeable about the area. This was the perfect home base from which to explore Andelucía. One of the many highlights was hiking in the mountains above the village. We had to step off the path to let a large herd of goats - followed by their herder on his cell phone - pass by.
