Superb 3 bed villa, only 40 minutes drive up motorway from Faro, probably the most exciting location on this beautiful quiet resort. From our front door, as you look across the hundreds of acres of nature reserve , you see the iconic bridge which leads to Spain, 8 kms away. By night the only disturbance to this tranquility are the flashing lights of the bridge and the Spanish townships of Costa Essuri and Ayamonte and the many many wind turbines in the far off distance.
We are blessed to have such a beautiful property on this resort. The peace and relaxation experienced here is second to none, and is in no way compromised by the nearby golf courses. In fact the golf compliments the entire resort with its manicured fairways and greens, which can also be seen from both front and back of villa. Nancys is just a 3 minute walk to the clubhouse, where a true welcome is always afforded to our guests, whether they are having a meal, a drink or just chatting on the amazing terrace , overlooking the entire resort. The clubhouse opens at 7.30 am, and in addition to catering and bar facilities, there is also a general reception, where the staff are always so helpful. The golf shop has all the latest golf apparel, tee times and information on lessons with Peter O' Connor PGA , son of the late great Christy. Closeby is the Gym, booking essential.
If you are interested in self catering, our large kitchen comes fully equipped with appliances, utencils etc. A gas BBQ is available on the terrace. If you like some home cooked food (cooked for you), Monte Francisco is just 5 minutes drive, a quaint traditional Portuguese village, and Cacadores offer wonderful home cooked dishes at very affordable prices. The larger towns of Castro Marim and the beautiful Marina town of Vila Real de Santo Antonio all have wonderful scenic areas and plenty of fare to offer. Monte Gordo is the nearest beach town with an abundance of beach boardwalk restaurants, and some water sports, yoga and fitness dancing. Other beaches available at Cabeco, Praia Verde, and Cabanas and Vila Nova de Cacela , all having plenty to offer. Just across the border in Ayamonte, Spain, you will be spoilt for restaurant choices. Boardwalk and beaches there also. There is a ferry departure (& return) regularly from VRSA to Ayamonte in Spain. There is tennis and raquet ball in VRSA, booking is essential, and bike hire can be arranged through reception in clubhouse.
Our 8m x 4m pool is spectacularly clean , as Alex our pool cleaner visits every third or fourth day. Say Hi Alex, if you happen to see him, very friendly guy, with a little english. Take note that we have a deep end (2m), especially if children are with you. We have provided a pool rail with lockable gate, but please always be vigilent.
On the complex, approx 10 minutes walk you have the use of the communal pool and catering facilities, and also a playground. For your outdoor dining, there is a remote controlled awning , table and 6+ chairs, and the terrace has umbrellas and loungers.
TV , DVD, and music centre in living room. If you have Sky Go on your laptop, then you have all the channels you have at home. We provide the scart/hdmi cable, so make sure you have your laptop uploaded (even if its your friendly neighbours ip address) and dont forget your charging lead.
All bedrooms are ensuite, twin beds, all linen and towels supplied, and beach towels. Hair dryer in each room, and depending on the duration of your stay, there will be linen and towel change where applicable.
Ideally car hire is recommended, but if you are in the total "non drive relax mood", we can arrange airport transfers and taxis are easily arranged. This is a regular occurance, and lots of families repeat this year after year. We take a booking deposit of 25%, and the balance at least 8 weeks before departure. In keeping with the rules of Ministry of Tourism who have provided our touristic Licence No. 134221/AL, names and passport details of all intending holiday guests are to be provided as early as possible and not later than final payment and we also request all itineraries.
