The sea and the beach
A private path leads directly to the beach and the sea from the apartment in a few seconds.
The "Playa de Los Lagos de Cotillo“ or „Playa La Concha“, with its quiet and original beach bays, lies north of El Cotillo towards the lighthouse Faro del Tostón. The light sandy and fine sandy beach offers optimal bathing pleasure. Its shallow Atlantic bays and tranquil sea make it ideal for a beach trip with children. Twice a day there is low tide. Thus, during low tide, toddlers can play safely at ankles with a high water level. The bigger ones wade a few meters into the sea and you can swim. Children and adolescents find an almost inexhaustible natural „playground“ where they can let their creativity and the urge to move run wild. To the north you will find more bays. Peace seekers appreciate the original bays, the small windshield castles built of black natural stones and the sections with varied landscape of dunes and dark volcanic cliffs in front of the white beach. A few minutes away is the neighboring beach of La Concha and a beach restaurant. From there, a small paved road leads to Faro del Tostón, the Fisheries Museum and another surf spot. South of El Cotillo, about 8 minutes by car at "Piedra Playa" the whitewater fans and Sufer get their money's worth. And there is something for everyone!
Fuerteventura usually has a more or less fresh breeze, so you can quickly get colour unnoticed and good sun protection is recommended!
