My family shared this villa with another family who like us also has a young daughter. I knew Javea would be the perfect place to unwind and its a great place to take kids. Finding the ideal villa for us all was crucial and Casa Ribaldi did not let us down. the villa itself is perfectly situated not too far from Arenal beach and all necessary amenities, however it still feels very secluded. The villa itself has amazing views and I spent many hours in one of the many seating areas over a gin and tonic soaking them in. Inside, the villa feels very homely and typically Spanish. During our stay there were only 2 small families, but this villa could comfortably accommodate 2 more families without feeling too crowded. There is a good stereo and a great TV setup with a massive choice of movies and channels. The outside of the villa is fantastic. Plenty of different seating areas to sit and read or sunbathe and the pool area is particularly impressive. Overall I would highly recommend Casa Ribaldi and highly recommend Javea as a perfect holiday destination for any family.
We arrived at the Villa at night but it was easy to find and although it felt secluded we were not far from the beaches and town of Javea and the Supermarkets. The property is very clean and is extremely comfortable having lots of seating areas both indoors and out. The pool is a great size for swimming or just relaxing on a Lillo and the fact that the owners have chosen artificial grass is a brilliant idea as it stays very clean and is like a carpet to walk on. We made the most of all the different seating areas to admire the spectacular views and enjoyed quiet a few tasty barbecues making the most of the local fish. There are plenty of restaurants with delicious foods to eat and we tried several. We had a very tasty meal at a restaurant near the Lighthouse which has a lovely panoramic view. If your thinking of going to the theme park near Benidorm (Terra Mitica) we enjoyed a good day there and were surprised to find it so quiet on a Sunday so we could repeat the rides several times. We used 2 for 1 entry on leaflet from Tourist office (make sure in date). In Javea they do Jett ski excursions and although abit pricey it is great fun and can be a thrill especially for me when I went on the back of my crazy sons. We would highly recommend the Villa but be aware there are 35 steps from the pool up to the house.
I stayed at this villa for 10 days with 7 other friends in September and we have been pining to go back ever since! We had a fantastic time and found the villa to be spacious, clean and comfortable, like a second home! Outside, there is a large pool and is surrounded by the beautiful scenic mountains of Javea, truly amazing! There were more than enough sun loungers for all of us, and the grass had recently been replaced with artificial turf. It felt so soft to walk on when getting out of the pool - perfect! Although it wasn't an issue for any of us, the stairs from the pool up to the villa are quite steep so I wouldn't recommend this villa for anyone who has difficulty in climbing stairs. The villa is also very private, and is all on one level. There is a balcony that surrounds half of the property and has two outdoor dining tables, and we took advantage of the outdoor BBQ a few times - perfect for nights in when you want to cook yourselves! The living room and dining area is modern and stylish, and the kitchen is fully functioning, it has everything that you would need, the same can be said for the en-suite bathrooms. The location was perfect, private enough that we could do our own thing, but close enough to the local supermarket (Consum) - less than 5 minutes away in the car and very cheap! The town is only 5 minutes away too, 10 for the port, and it was very easy to order a local taxi when we went out for an evening, but I would suggest hiring a car as we did because it made it very easy to go shopping and getting around to different places during the day. It is important to mention that Angela has put a lot of time, effort money into refurbishing the villa this year to make our stay as memorable as it was, and plans to update the kitchen and bathrooms too. I can't wait to stay here again!
