Nestled in mature olive groves above Avlaki Bay, with wonderful views over the headlands of north east Corfu, Villa Aurora provides the perfect setting for a relaxing family holiday. Set in an acre of grounds with mature gardens, Aurora offers exclusivity and seclusion, yet all essential holiday amenities are close by. The crystal-clear waters of Avlaki beach, with its two excellent tavernas, are within walking distance down a track through the olive groves. The fashionable restaurants of Agios Stefanos and the lively resort of Kassiopi are only a few minutes’ drive away. Aurora is contemporarily furnished and provides spacious, well-appointed accommodation. The villa’s many communal and private spaces make it ideal for two families holidaying together. We are very pleased to have a number of regular clients who book from one year to the next and have written some generous reviews. The property is registered for holiday rentals with the Greek National Tourist Office, EOT licence number 0829K10TK8213001. Please take a look at some aerial footage of the villa.
The swimming pool measures 10m x 5m and has a depth from 0.5m to 1.8m and is surrounded by a large patio for sunbathing. Access to the pool can be restricted via a gate at the top of the stairs leading from the veranda to the pool. In the early and late season, the pool is warmed via an air source heat pump, that takes the chill off the water by raising the temperature to a few degrees higher than it would otherwise be.
There are two double and two twin bedrooms. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with wash basin and toilet; three bathrooms include a shower. The master bedroom has ample space for a cot and a futon for younger children enabling the villa to accommodate 8 adults and 2 young children. The bedrooms have vaulted ceilings, ample storage facilities and air conditioning. A balcony that runs the length of the villa, providing wonderful sea views. There is a cloakroom downstairs, and a utility room with washing machine.
The open plan living space is contemporary furnished adjoining a fully equipped kitchen with island breakfast bar. Facilities include electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, drinks fridge and microwave. Many clients have hired the villa for special birthdays and anniversaries and have commented favourably "much more of a home rather than a holiday let".
Our ever helpful and fully bilingual property manager, Natushka provides a meet and greet service and she and her husband Yianni are available to assist with any problems that might arise during your stay. The villa is serviced twice per week. Bed linen. bath towels and pool towels are provided. A complementary welcome pack containing basic essentials is provided. Local supermarkets are a five minute's drive - Yannis Market in Sinies provides online shopping and can deliver to the villa. http://www.yannismarket.com/
The area is well served by excellent tavernas serving delicious, freshly cooked local dishes. Cavo Barbaro and Taverna Avlaki are only a 700m walk down a track that meanders through the olive groves, to Avlaki Bay. There are water's edge tavernas in Agios Stefanos and many more tavernas and bars in Kassiopi, both a few minutes drive.
The Corfu Sailing Centre run by Jan, provides dinghy sailing, paddle boarding and windsurfing on Avlaki beach, where Villa Aurora's kayaks are stored. Hiring a motor boat is a fun way to explore the idyllic coves that are the signature of North East Corfu’s beauty made famous in Gerald Durrell's books. Agios Spiridon, a slowly shelving sandy beach on North coast (ideal for children), Is only a short drive. Aqualand, a water theme park in the centre of the island, is a great day out for children and adults.
Although all amenities are close by, car hire is strongly recommended to get the most from your holiday. Most international firms are represented at Corfu Airport. Alternatively, we can arrange a transfer by taxi to the villa (approximately €70) where a local firm will be pleased to deliver your hire car.

Wonderful Villa Aurora
By Jen Noble, Cheltenham on 30-Sep-2019
We have stayed at the wonderful Villa Aurora many times, and can highly recommend it. The location is perfect -very peaceful yet within easy reach of great restaurants and shops. The villa is equipped to the highest standards and beautifully maintained, with lovely gardens and a fantastic pool. Together with the amazing views - Perfect!
By Clare, Shipston On Stour on 03-Aug-2019
Villa Aurora is beautiful villa in a stunning setting not far from Avlaki Bay. We stayed as a family of five and we thought it was perfect.
The villa is exceedingly well appointed, with everything you might need for a family holiday. The kitchen has everything you might need to cook up a delicious meal, and there is also barbeque by the pool side which we was fantastic for eating al fresco. There is a dishwasher and washing machine which was a definite bonus.
During the day we spent a great deal of our time in the pool, or relaxing on sun loungers. We also went down into Avlaki and hired kayaks to explore the bay. We also hired a motor boat and took a trip down the coast line passed the Rothchild Estate, and saw The White House (The Durrells) from the sea.
Inside, the air conditioning keeps the villa wonderfully cool over the summer months. The villa is kept clean and is beautifully maintained by the wonderful staff who will visit twice a week to service the villa. Throughout our stay, we were supplied with fresh linen and towels twice weekly.

The villa is an extremely attractive, large and comfortable home, set in a wonderful location. The views are stunning. The villa has an array of different places to socialise; areas so large everyone can chat and hang together, off set by little secluded areas for quiet reading or a cheeky nap.
The villa worked very well for us as we had three generations all together to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. My parents needed the high level of comfort and privacy which the luxurious rooms offered and my children, now teenagers loved the swimming pool, table tennis and still having reliable Wi-Fi so they didn’t lose touch with their friends. (Although there was so much to do, that they used their devices infrequently, this was great.)
The villa was very well equipped for eating in, with loads of space to eat alfresco or cozy up inside. We used the BBQ on a few occasions and stayed up late playing cards into the night. We went to a lot of nice eateries but particularly enjoyed brunches, lunches and evening meals at Cavo Barbaro at Avlaki beach.
The cleaner came in twice a week, a real luxury, we always returned to find the place looking immaculate and beds all beautifully made, with clean bath and beach towels.
The pool is a good size, and suited all, from energetic morning swim to cooling off dips and lazing around on a lilo. It was always beautifully clean and looked fabulous lit up at night.
We enjoyed all the beaches we went to, finding a great sandy beach not too far away and at Avlaki beach we all had fun using the villa’s kayaks which are housed at the sailing school. The children went out fishing for the day (a little expensive) but it was enormous fun and they returned with food for the night!

What a wonderful property in a fabulous location - just idyllic for a great holiday.
The house and grounds are a very high standard with lovely views across the water towards Albania. Pool is a perfect size for swimming those lengths to work up an appetite for a great dinner either at the house or at one of the many privately owned restaurants nearby - hard to choose which one to go to as they are all delicious.
The layout of the house works well with various areas for sitting, dining, chatting with friends or finding a secluded corner to read your book.
Will definitely return for another fabulous holiday - thank you
By Karen on 23-May-2019
This is our 2nd time staying at the Villa Aurora and it never disappoints.
We enjoyed a wonderful week here with friends and everyone had a perfect holiday.
The villa is so well appointed both in the numerous living spaces and also in the comfortable spacious bedrooms all with their own facilities.
Days were spent by the pool, kayaking in the nearby bay, visiting local towns, or walking the beautiful countryside - then after drinks on the terrace we had our choice of superb local family restaurants.
This is such a beautiful part of Europe and so friendly we will come back - thank you.
Just as good as the first time!
By Maria L. on 11-Jun-2018
It really is like coming back home. The villa is beautifully furnished and extremely well equipped. The gardens are gorgeous, well maintained and so secluded and private. Well positioned for visiting San Sephanos, Kassiopi, Kalami and Agni Bay. Charles is very friendly, helpful and efficient. You won't be disappointed. Already booking for next year!
Spacious and beautiful Villa
By Henny T on 28-Sep-2017
A stunning villa with a lovely walk down to Agni Bay through the olive groves. We especially loved the incredible views from the pool and the terrace was a favourite supper and breakfast spot. Charles and his team are all extremely helpful, the cleaner was excellent and our two families of 5 never felt on top of each other. A great stay!
Wonderful Birthday celebrations
By Anonymous on 18-Sep-2017
We had an amazing week in this superb villa nestled amongest the olive trees in North East Corfu, we were staying in Aurora for my birthday celebrations with our grown up family. It totally surpassed all our expectations, the views were incredible and the outside living space and area around the swimming pool made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy each others company. The table tennis table was a lovely added extra for our sons in their twenties.
Personally the kitchen was a hit with me I don't think we have ever had such a well equipped kitchen in a rental villa. Our children said it was one of the most relaxing holidays we have been on and we will definitely be coming back.
Spring at Villa Aurora, Avlaki
By Hilary P on 05-Jul-2017
Perfect setting amongst the olive groves, with beautiful views of sea and distant mountains from the terraces and especially the pool. The surroundings - the harbour at Kassiopi, tavernas at San Stefanos, shops, bars and atmosphere of Corfu town - provide lots to do, but the villa is a great base and so relaxing it's tempting to just chill. Favourite place was Avlaki Bay .. a short stroll through olive groves down to a perfectly blue sea, and the best taverna of the lot!
Gorgeous villa, great holiday!
Stunning villa in secluded spot with outstanding views
By Charles J on 24-Jun-2017
We had an absolutely perfect holiday in this beautiful villa. The villa more than lives up to the photographs.
Ages ranged from a 1 year old to late 60's and each and every one of us enjoyed every moment of our time at Villa Aurora. The house is beautifully equipped and very comfortable. The pool was large enough for us all to enjoy ourselves and have a proper swim as well.
Not only is the villa excellent but we loved the local area. The nearest supermarket is very well stocked (and Yianni is very friendly) - in addition if you want any fish or meat you have only to ask and they will get in the same day. They got us sardines and swordfish - much easier than going to the fish shop in Kassiopi and you're guaranteed to get what you want.
We went to the beaches at Agni and San Stephanos but our favourite was Kerasia.
Our favourite taverna was Cabo Barbarro at Avlaki - the food is superb. We hope to return to the villa next year.
Excellent location and wonderful views
By Madelein P on 18-Sep-2016
We agree with everything stated in previous reviews and although our stay was only one week, our three generation family had a wonderful, relaxing and memorable time.
Villa Aurora is set in a very scenic and tranquil location and has stunning views. You will need a car, but there are no precarious roads to negotiate and it is an easy, short drive to the picturesque coves of Agios Stefanos, Kalami, Kouloura, Agni and the local town of Kassiopi.
Our favourite haunt was Agios Stefanos - just a few minutes drive away. We ate here most evenings as the friendly waterside tavernas were excellent and the setting picture perfect. We also hired a boat for the day and enjoyed swimming in secluded coves and stopping for lunch at Agni Bay. A fabulous day out and well recommended.
The Villa itself is very spacious, of a high standard and extremely comfortable, clean, homely and well managed. Just as the photos and description on Villa Aurora's website. We particularly liked the many outside seating areas and the lovely large contemporary kitchen that was a pleasure to use and had every modern convenience.
Booking and communication with Charles was quick, friendly and efficient and I would not hesitate to recommend Villa Aurora to anyone wishing to visit this beautiful area of Corfu.
Thank you Charles for a great holiday - we hope to return.
Villa Aurora - Already re-booked!
By Gavin J on 16-Sep-2016
We had a fantastic two week holiday in Villa Aurora. The villa quickly felt like home and more than exceeded our expectations.
It would have been easy to spend the whole holiday at the villa enjoying the excellent pool, the superb views and the comfortable seating areas. The property is spotlessly clean and has everything you could need for a relaxing break.
We did venture out but with so much within a few miles of the villa, you do not need to go far. This part of Corfu is stunning so there are many great beaches to enjoy. This includes Avlaki, which is a short walk from the villa. Aside from the beaches, we enjoyed good food in the local Tavernas. Hiring a boat is also recommend.
As we approached the end of our holiday, the decision was made. We have already booked for next year and this decision tells you all you need to know about our impression of Villa Aurora!

Villa Aurora Avlaki Bay Corfu
By Helen R. on 17-Aug-2016
We had a wonderful three generation family holiday at Villa Aurora in June/July this year. The villa is very well appointed and everything has been provided to make it home from home and the views are amazing! It is spotlessly clean and very well managed.
We asked if a gate could be provided to prevent our granddaughter (14months old) from making her way to the pool unaccompanied, Charles had a metal gate made (to match the railings) for the top of the steps, which also provided a very secure area on the terrace. We were delighted at this attention to our requirements which provided peace of mind for us all. We felt the villa was safe for our granddaughter, being able to lock the gate prevented this little person from accessing the pool.
Avlaki and the surrounding areas in North East Corfu have many stunning unspoilt bays and beautiful views, we found plenty to do during our enjoyable holiday including renting a boat at Agios Stephanos and a trip to Corfu Town. There are many quality tavernas within 10-15 minutes drive from the villa, all in all a perfect holiday destination.

A beautiful property
By Julie W. on 14-Aug-2016
A very large and beautiful property where our 2 families enjoyed a weeks holiday at the end of July. The house is well cared for and of an extremely high standard with regard to amenities and décor. The location is peaceful and scenic and is accessible to a number of coves / tavernas along the coastline. A car is required in order to appreciate the full beauty of this area. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the villa lived up to expectations from previous reviews. We would love to return in the future . The Wilsons / Smiths
Villa Aurora triumphs again!
By Jocelyn C on 07-Aug-2016
This was our second visit to Villa Aurora and having had such a great time last year I thought it would be hard to beat it but soon after arriving we noticed a great addition - a gate at the top of the steps leading to the pool. The children's ages ranged from 3 months to almost 3 and they obviously needed constant monitoring but having the gate allowed us to be much more relaxed about pool access than last year as well as providing greater safety. The children were more aware this year and really enjoyed the pool and surroundings. Happy children meant happy parents and grandparents so all in all everyone had a really great time - again!. Regarding the villa itself the high standards of last year had been maintained and the new fans in the terrace area really cooled the air during our meals - another welcome difference. If you are looking for a villa that is furnished like a home and feels like one then look no further. The temptation is to stay in the villa, enjoy the privacy of the surroundings and spend a lot of time in the pool but there are lots of good restaurants in Kassiopi and St Stephanos and Avlaki beach is a short walk - downhill through the olive grove. Thank you Natushka and Yiannis for looking after us so well. Villa Aurora is top of our list for European "down time".
By Joanne D. on 08-Jun-2016
What a wonderful place. We were two families travelling together, 4 adults and 4 children (6, 6, 6 and 9 years) for the first time and Villa Aurora suited us perfectly. A large, clean, beautifully designed Villa with everything you could need including the most spectacular views. We all enjoyed the pool, the children especially, and travelling around the northern part of the Island. Charles has been very friendly and easy to contact, so many thanks to him for that. We would definitely return.
Luxury home in superb location
By Peter P on 27-Sep-2015
We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Aurora. The Villa was just as the photos and description on the website, the view and peaceful location exceeded our expectations. Nearby Avlaki beach and the two tavernas help make this a perfect location. Everyone staying with us remarked how good it was to have a villa that is a perfect home rather than somewhere that is just a holiday let with fittings etc. that are often not the best. Thoroughly recommended, we hope to return.
Wonderful and quiet location
By Graham P. on 29-Aug-2015
If you are looking for wonderful views and a quiet location then look no further. Villa Aurora lived up to all of our expectations. We were two families on a holiday together and we all had a great time. The children were not out of the pool and there was plenty of outside and inside space to feel you were not on top of each other. A good idea was the television room so the children could escape from the heat of the sun. We had good weather even a couple of thunder storms on a few of the nights couldn't dampen our spirits!
We loved Agios Stephanos and the boat ride to Taverna Agni was a highlight. The villa was extremely well equipped and spotlessly clean. We would definitely recommend to family and friends, a fab holiday was had by all!!
Beautiful spacious villa
By Julia Winkley on 11-Aug-2015
Villa Aurora is stunning. In a very pretty location. Beautifully appointed with a wonderful pool and views. Natushka and Yiannis were very helpful and the house is cleaned well. We loved Agios Stefanos- really Greek with great restaurants and very friendly people.
High expectations surpassed
By Jocelyn P. on 06-Aug-2015
We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Aurora. As one of our party put it - they had a "phenomenal time". I recommend this villa as everything you could wish for in a villa holiday and it is suitable for all ages. We ranged from 18 months to mid-sixties with young people in between. It is rare that a holiday venue suits all but on this occasion everybody had a good time. We arrived with high expectations from the photographs and previous reviews and our expectations were surpassed with regard to: view, surroundings, rooms, cleanliness, pool, seclusion, facilities, spaces. There is a great team looking after the villa, led by Natushka, and nothing is any trouble. I would stress that it is definitely a good idea to have a car as whilst the beach at Avlaki is well within reach on foot it is too far to walk to the supermarket in the heat that we experienced in July. I am aware that this is rather a glowing review but I speak as we found - it's great and we didn't want to leave. We will definitely be booking again.
Fantastic, modern villa in a gorgeous location
By Phil W. on 12-Jul-2015
This was our second holiday in Corfu, and having rented a larger villa above Avlaki the previous time, we knew why we wanted to return.
The other reviews are quite right about the great location, the stunning views, the garden, pool and all the facilities. As well as these we particularly appreciated how well designed the villa is, with the different areas to sit and relax. Whether inside or outside - in the shade, or in the sun, or in groups or alone, there is so much flexibility and choice. This is perfect for a large family, or two smaller families.
Aurora is modern, clean, well equipped, and well maintained. The service received from the maids (who visit 3 times a week) and the manager, Natushka, is excellent.
We were delighted with our choice and could not recommend Charles and Elspeth's superb villa more highly.
The other reviews say it all.
By Jeff G. on 26-Jun-2015
Villa Aurora is the eighth villa we have rented in Corfu in as many years-three of which are in the Agios Stefanos area & I have to say it's one of the best due to its location, specification, views, peace & tranquillity the villa & its surroundings provide. We also wished for nothing over & above what Charles & Elspeth provide in the package/villa.
The villa itself is situated in a sprawling mature olive grove at the end of a long driveway with an access gate-which for me adds to the excitement upon your arrival at the perfect holiday retreat.
As the villa has numerous terraces as well as the pool area, there is enough space to enjoy that little piece of 'me time' away from the 'wonderful' family & friends if you so desire. In our case there was just the two of us & I still required that little piece of 'me time'!
The villa is also situated in close proximity to some of Corfu's most picturesque coastline & their restaurants & taverna's which provide some truly relaxing, romantic days & evenings complemented by the fabulous food they offer.
Another one of the other positives I enjoyed about Villa Aurora is its well thought out & designed garden areas, as it has a wonderful array of flora and fauna which attracts some truly beautiful butterflies which Corfu is renowned for thanks to Gerald Durrell & his love of the Corfiot wildlife. Even the garden, villa & pool night lighting takes you into another wonderful world that makes Corfu so special. We also viewed a Pine Marten drinking from the poolside late one evening which apparently is quite a rarity. Although he was very timid & didn't stay around for long, he/she just added to our fabulous time spent at Villa Aurora.
So thanks again to Charles & Elspeth for affording us another wonderful villa holiday in Corfu.
Wonderful Villa, superb location!
By Nicola R. on 08-Jun-2015
A real home away from home! An impressive villa, fully equipped, with stunning views and excellent pool! Spotlessly clean, everything worked! Photos truly do not do the villa justice. The whole family relaxed in the pool and enjoyed a stroll to Avlaki Beach for a swim followed by a drink at the Tavernas!
Gorgeous kassiopi, and Agios Stephanos a short drive away. A perfect break!
By Maria L. on 06-Jun-2015
Villa Aurora is, without doubt, one of the quietest villas we have stayed in, with the most fantastic views, completely private and not at all overlooked. The villa itself is modern, clean and extremely well-equipped; it has air-con and good Wi-Fi coverage. It has a good sized swimming pool and the gardens and grounds are beautifully cared for. It's only a short drive to both Agios Stefanos and Kassiopi, with Agni Bay about 15 mins away (or you could take the water taxi!). In fact, the villa was so perfect, it was hard to find an excuse to leave it! Communication with Charles, the owner, was friendly, helpful and efficient. If you need somewhere to totally unwind, with breath-taking views but with access to good tavernas and supermarkets, then book now - trust me!
Fantastic October holiday
By Janet & William Hutchings on 10-Nov-2014
Our second year in Villa Aurora - a wonderful setting, beautiful villa, great maid service and all in all - it felt like coming home! Everything you need is provided - we wanted for nothing. Even the weather was hot so sunbathing was the order of the day! Thank you and we look forward to returning in 2015!
By JIF on 24-Sep-2014
Charles and Elspeth had thought of everything to make our stay in their wonderful villa as comfortable and fun as possible. It was our first family holiday with our adult sons for years and the way the villa was laid out provided so many different areas we could relax in. We were beautifully looked after by the cleaning staff with fresh towels provided every couple of days with a free Greek lesson thrown in! The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed a couple of BBQs down by the pool. The walk down to Avlaki beach was lovely and good exercise on the way back up. A cars is a must. The villa felt very private and had the most spectacular views of sea, mountains and Albania. Boat hire and kayaking were great fun. We were very sad to leave and would highly recommend this villa as a wonderful holiday location.
Fantastic villa in spectacular setting
By Phil And Kate on 07-Aug-2014
We shared Villa Aurora between sisters, brothers-in-law and cousins .. and had a wonderful week in Corfu.
The villa is spectacular with 4 excellent bedrooms, great outside dining and patio area, large main room and kitchen and beautiful pool.
What really makes the villa special are the views across green hills to the straits between Corfu and Albania. We could sit and watch forever as the mountains changed colour with the sun and the ferries and cruise ships sail past.
We ate out on 5 nights in Avlaki, Agios Stefanos and Agni and all the local food was delicious. We also used the villa's BBQ for 2 nights and this was also great fun.
The two local supermarkets (Giannis and Nikos) were well stocked (Gianni's own wine for €5.50 was a bargain) and Kassiopi is worth a wander around.
Overall, a great week in a wonderful villa.
The best villa ever
By Graeme E. on 03-Jul-2014
This is our ninth year of arranging our own self accommodation villa holidays directly with the owners, and we were not disappointed. Villa Aurora is the best we have stayed in, it is the ultimate in luxury. Just read what everybody else has said about it… there not wrong.
The villa is set in beautiful, very secluded gardens with an unspoilt view overlooking the sea and there are no immediate neighbours to worry about. In the distance you can see Albania, which even at night, is a stunning view whilst sitting on the comfy sofas on the terrace with a glass or two of the local wine.
The inside and outside are kept spotlessly clean and the pool is very well maintained.
We made good use of the BBQ a few times, there’s a local butchers in Perithia, together with salad and feta from the local supermarket… nice!
There’s plenty of places to eat and drink in the surrounding area, from the busy Kassiopi, which has plenty of bars and tavernas to choose from, to the more quiet and tranquil Avlaki.
We did go to a few of the beaches, but to be fair, when you’ve got your own very large pool, you don’t need to go to them too often!
The most memorable evening for us, was being picked up by the speed boat taxi service from Agios Stefanos and whisked around the bay on a fifteen minute ride to Taverna Agni, the food is very good and including the boat charge, very reasonably priced. Highly recommended, best to book in advance!
Thanks Charles for letting us stay at you wonderful villa, we will be back.
Graeme & Debbie - London
By Fiona on 24-Jun-2014
The villa is in a wonderful location, very peaceful at the end of a small road with the most beautiful views of the blue sea and Albania. The villa is very well maintained and spotless and with the maid coming three times a week it is truly restful!
As the villa is so spacious and the weather was so good you can take advantage of all of the indoor and outdoor seating areas, down by the pool, out on the terrace, on the balcony...So if there are a number of you and you need some p and q it is easy to find.
Unusually for a holiday home the kitchen was so well equipped that it was possible to eat in or out without struggling with inadequate cooking vessels.
The pool was much bigger than it looked in the photo and we spent hours lounging down there.
There are many restaurants to choose from within a 5 mile radius and all of them were very good. We just had to get used to the huge helpings and not order too many courses. All were good value and the locals serving in the shops and restaurants were always extremely courteous. I have travelled a lot in Spain/Portugal/France/Italy and I have never met with such unfailing friendliness and courtesy.
Natushka, the manager met us at the house and answered any questions we had. She was also there if we needed her the whole of our stay and with her perfect English this made life very easy.
There are a few supermarkets close by and a slightly bigger one in Kassiopi. The baker behind Yanis's supermarket is excellent and so old fashioned it is an education in itself. The oven is heated with wood and the method is the same as it probably was 100 years ago!
We were very lazy and did little exploring. The roads are quite narrow and twisty which caused some car sickness and the scenery was so good where we were there seemed little point travelling around in a car in hot weather.
It was possible to walk down to Avlaki beach where there are two restaurants. It is about a 15 minute walk down and a bit longer coming back as it is a bit of a climb.
The holiday was just what we wanted. Lots of space, peace, we could eat in or go to a restaurant, fabulous pool, maid service, privacy and freedom to rest and relax.
The only downside to the property I could imagine is the pool with young children as it isn't fenced in and secondly the necessity of having to hire a car.
Mosquitoes were a bit of a problem so take some repellent, but all of the windows have nets.
But for us it was magical and I would go back at the drop of a hat!
By Anne on 24-Sep-2013
This is a lovely villa in an area of very pretty coastline, which we took full advantage of by very easily hiring a small motorboat. The villa is spacious and very well equipped (including Tupperware which was very good for the cold box which came with the boat) and in a very quiet location. There are also many different beaches to choose from in the area and would definitely recommend
A wonderful holiday
By CHarlotte on 05-Sep-2013
Villa Aurora is lovely- the owners have thought of everything and all works perfectly. The views are breath-taking and the pool fabulous. It is well located up the hill - just right for an early morning run, or stroll, down to swim in the beautiful blue sea. There are lots of lovely restaurants just a short drive away and it was fun taking a boat out or having a restful day at the villa.
We were spoiled
By Anonymous on 16-Aug-2013
I chose this villa for a special family holiday and that meant making sure there would be enough space for a family of seven adults. The description, location and photographs on the website were attractive and seemed to fit our requirements. In reality, the villa is stunning inside and out. The photos don't do it justice. I walked around speechless for the first 15 minutes taking in all the features. My family still can't believe we lived in such understated luxury. The furnishings create a homely atmosphere and everyone gets a quality bedroom. Outside, the private pool is wonderful, as are the grounds. We loved the balcony dining area where we spent most evenings. The level of privacy is perfect, and I can't imagine tiring of the open views across the strait to Albania.
The design and layout of the house is superb, and there is so much space we couldn't use it all. My youngest daughter only discovered there was a dining room half way through the week! A maid came to clean three times and the pool was cleaned at least twice. We felt spoiled and none of us wanted to leave. There was everything we could have hoped for and more.
For anyone planning on staying here, a car is essential for getting to the local shops, restaurants and beaches as the villa is situated in a secluded location at the bottom of a steep unmade track.
Avlaki riding school was brilliant and the owner Alison whom is English took the girls on a good cross country trek. Another fun and inexpensive way to explore the locality is to hire a quad bike, moped or buggy locally. We also hired a boat from Giannis at Agios Stefanos bay and spent a superb day snorkelling and exploring coves along the coast. Here there are also several seafront restaurants where you can sit at the water's edge with views across the cove. Service was excellent and prices reasonable, certainly when compared with UK. The nearest mini-supermarket is a 5 minute drive away, and has a good deli counter with home-made produce, and a bakery round the back.
All in all, a great week made very special by your lovely villa. We will recommend you and would love the opportunity to return.

Wonderful villa on georgeous island
By Craig M on 13-Aug-2013
We enjoyed an absolutely fabulous week at this villa. The property met or exceeded all our expectations. Particularly good was the attention to detail and the small touches which made it deal very homely and welcoming. The villa makes very good use of space, particularly outside, and would be well suited to larger groups than we had with us. Also, it was very clean on arrival and well maintained throughout, plus everyone who visited including the pool man and the cleaners were very friendly and reliable.
We really enjoyed the area - so beautiful, peaceful and friendly. Our favourite beach was Kerasia (Agni was also nice) and there are lovely tavernas at Agios Stefanos (particularly Eucalyptus) and Avlaki. The local restaurant in Sinies (Tavernaki) was excellent for home cooked food and very reasonable. Would recommend Trilogia in Kassiopi for a special meal and amazing views of the sunset.
If you get the chance visit the abandoned village at Palaio Peritheia, and further afield the monastery at Palaiokastritska (plus the views over the bays up the hill as Lakones) and the ruined fort at Angelokastro. Worth a day trip. We really did not have time to explore as much as we wanted to, so I hope that we can make a return visit soon!
No complaints on the owners information, which was spot on, and whose help was much appreciated.
