Ideal place to enjoy rural Greece

By Milen & Svetla Mirov on 22-Aug-2020

This is our second stay in the house - the first was 3 years ago and this obviously means that we like it. It is difficult to find what not to like: the house itself is spacious, clean, well furnished, has all conveniences we needed, incl. big fridge/freezer and good air conditioning units in all rooms. The terrace has wonderful view to the see and is the place to have your dinner, the area at the back is cool in the morning and ideal for breakfast. The owners Pat & Dave are very responsive and understanding which was highly appreciated in these Covid times.

Aghia Triada sandy beach is 10 min walk and is never overcrowded - it is our favourite. Koroni has plenty of bars, cafes and restaurants. Harocopio village is also very pleasant, with several cafes, tavernas and a lovely bakery behind the village square. The taverna by the church has live traditional Greek music on Fridays and the food is excellent too.

We definitely recommend this villa to anyone who enjoys beach holidays away from the crowds and would go again.

Wonderful, peaceful, beautiful holiday

By Family Kibblewhite on 20-Dec-2019

My mother, my daughter and I have just spent the most idyllic week at Lemoni Spiti. The house is beautifully located and designed to maximise the stunning, panoramic views: it provides wonderful indoor and outdoor spaces within an olive grove that spreads to the sea. Everything we could have wanted for was provided, in all areas...terrace furniture, kitchen equipment and provisions, bedding, towels and beach towels, bathroom facilities, a washing machine, heating /air conditioning and a gorgeous and very much appreciated welcome pack. A file of information gave good clues as to nearby activities and the visitor book was packed with genuinely complimentary comments. We slept so well in the peace and quiet and loved exploring this beautiful, unspoilt region. The people of Koroni were charming and the swimming was fantastic. This is truly a place to re-energise and relax in equal measure. Our hosts were delightful and communicative, offering great advice and any assistance required, such as the best road directions I have ever seen! It suited all generations and we cannot thank our hosts enough.

Spiti Limomoni Koroni

By Susanne Knowles on 28-Sep-2018

Superb house, very spacious and with everything you could possible need. Owners provided lots of really useful help and information. Views are fantastic of both sea, mountains and countryside all appreciated at all times. Local beaches and tavernas are all good and easy to access. The whole area is lovely and very much worth exploring, especially Ancient Messini. Loved it all, a big thank you from four very happy adults.

A beautiful location with a stunning sea view

By Rebecca A on 19-Aug-2017

We spent a wonderful 10 nights at this excellent, well equipped villa. The house has a fantastic location overlooking the sea and the mountains beyond. It was such a pleasure to watch the sun rising each morning from the huge balcony. The house and garden are very well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with store cupboard staples (herbs, salt, oil, sugar, and so on) which was helpful for self catering, and we made use of the buckets, spades, inflatables and parasols for our visits to the beach. We enjoyed walking down to the nearby beach and climbing over the rocks to the beach at Agia Triada, which would also be reached easily by road at the top of the cliff. This is a beautiful, peaceful beach which we had entirely to ourselves in the mornings. The sea at every beach we visited was shallow and calm and our young children swam freely every day. The nearby town of Koroni makes a wonderful destination for evening meals at the fabulous tavernas, or simply to wander around the narrow streets and harbour. The children were excited to see the sea turtle nests on Zaga beach at Koroni. The villa is perfectly situated for exploring Messinia by car and there were some excellent recommendations for outings provided by the owners, as well as recommendations for tavernas and beaches to visit. This is a fabulous holiday rental in a region that feels relatively untouched by mass tourism. We will definitely be hoping to return!

The perfect place to relax

By Bacchus London on 30-Oct-2014

What a beautiful and peacefully relaxing setting. The scent of jasmine is everywhere and Pat has created a lovely garden in all the nooks and crannies and beside the large patio. The gnarled old olives are laden and the young growing fast. "Limoni", figs and almonds surround the house.

The views are to die for - over olives and the sea to Mt Taygetos and the Mani, with sunrise flooding the bedrooms, sitting room and balconies and sunsets tinging pink the mountains across the sea.

As for the house it's very light, well designed and well equipped and decorated. Ideal for one or two couples and with a more than adequate third single bedroom. The main bedrooms are downstairs and have great French windows onto a shady terrace. Upstairs there's a large light sitting/kitchen/dining room again with two pairs of French windows onto a wide balcony round two sides of the house.

If you can bring yourself to move there are good notes, hand drawn maps and excellent suggestions. Two fine sandy beaches are in easy walking distance, many more are further afield and markets, castles, monasteries, mountains, archaeological sites and even shady ravine waterfalls are all around.

A really delightful place.

Just a lovely holiday!

By Tina Brussels on 02-Oct-2014

"Thank you!, We have rented holiday accommodation through ownersdirect.co.uk for quite a few years now and this is one of the best properties we've stayed in. Even though it doesn't have a pool! the wonderful beaches well and truly make up for that especially Zaga and Memi. Boat trip around Navarino Bay from Pylos also very enjoyable. Kalamata a waste of time. Favourite restaurant Flisvos in Koroni. Clambering around what's left of the Venetian fortresses in Koroni and Methoni was hot but great. We love this part of Greece!

PS we do also love the window design with shuttersand fly screens."

Top house in top location

By Simon Amersham on 29-Sep-2014

We're frequent visitors to Greece, and can't praise Limoni Spiti too much. The location is absolutely superb, with the local beach genuinely eight minutes walk away and really uncrowded even at peak season. We loved it. The local town of Koroni is unspoilt, with just the right amount of tourism to have a decent choice of tavernas and bars. Charakopio, nearby, is a nice authentic Greek village, and we loved Finikounda, around half an hour's spectacular drive away and a little more touristy than our area, but charming. Mostly Greek holiday-makers anyway. With the breathtaking Ancient Messini and waterfalls inland, you couldn't ask for more.

Oh... and has anyone mentioned the view?
