We've recently returned from our second stay in this fabulous, contemporary villa. Stunning accommodation to a very high standard, exceptionally well equipped, with a periphery wall around the property, and a gated entry system, very secure. All bedrooms are ensuite with walk-in showers which allows easy access for all mobility needs. Open plan living area is very spacious and welcoming- sliding doors open onto patio area and private pool, which provided hours of enjoyment in the sunshine. Location is perfect, in a quiet residential area with ample parking and all amenities close by. It's a short 5 min taxi ride, or 20 min walk to Lagos, with it's abundance of restaurants & bars, especially in the Marina, and Old Town areas; and it's seaside and clifftop walks, easily accessible thanks to a four-kilometer long wooden boardwalk at Meia Praia. We particularly loved al fresco dining at the villa, swimming in the private pool bathed in sunshine from early morning till evening, and the peace & tranquility of the surroundings, especially seeing beautiful sunsets from the patio. Our trip this time facilitated 3 days watching the MotoGP Grand Prix of Portugal at the Algarve International Circuit in Portimão, which is a 20 min drive, door to door. The Algarve International Circuit provides a great variety of motorsport events throughout the year. This sensational villa is a wonderful place to stay, we will definitely be regular visitors, and we highly recommend it.

We spent a summer family holiday break at Portelas and the villa was perfect for our group’s needs. A modern villa finished to a really high specification allowed us to enjoy great family time during the days and a 5 minute drive to the heart of cool Lagos at nights. All rooms were well designed with lovely amenities; and the private pool was perfect in the summer heat. The immediate location is traditional with development ongoing; it felt remote but local amenities are convenient with larger supermarket and retail a short drive away. Lagos was our kind of place; more traditional and authentic compared with the built up beach resorts and we will definitely be back to explore more.
