A charming self-contained apartment on our olive farm surrounded by traditional farms yet only minutes away from Tavira, Santa Luzia, Olhao and the award-winning beaches at Fuseta and Barril.
Our traditional Portuguese villa is split into two with guest accommodation on the first floor with separate access. Suitable for 4 people in 2 bright bedrooms. The large kitchen is equipped with electric hob, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge/freezer. The spacious bright lounge overlooks the private terrace with comfortable seating to enjoy panoramic views.
Tranquil established garden filled with a multitude of fruit trees to sit and listen to resident hoopoes and goldfinches. There is also a 5m x 5m swimming pool in a secluded glade with sunbathing area to relax in on a hot afternoon. Breakfast basket and evening meals available on request. Variety of activities offered include birdwatching and cycling tours as well as creative art workshops. Kayaking and horse riding along the beach are available with 10 minutes from us.
Location
Luz de Tavira is a traditional Portuguese village with a range of shops, cafes and mini-markets. Two restaurants are 5 minutes walk from the door. Our location is also ideally placed to access the many varied tourist attractions, golf and leisure facilities that the Algarve has to offer. We are just 25 minutes from Faro airport. Luz de Tavira is also served with both a bus and train service to Tavira and Faro.
Beaches
The wonderful beaches of the Eastern Algarve are available to explore from our central location. Take short ferry rides from Tavira, Fuseta or Olhao on the Ria Formosa to access unspoilt stretches of golden sand. Catch the little train in Santa Luzia to get to Barril Beach. A short drive down the coast leads to the beaches at Manta Rota, Monte Gordo, Casto Marim and Praia Verde. Bars, restaurants and other facilities are available at all these locations.
Tavira
Tavira is a beautiful, historic town with many places of interest such as the beautiful Roman bridge. There are many restaurants and bars to suite all tastes and budgets. Fresh produce can be purchased every morning apart from Sunday at Tavira’s large indoor market. There are also several supermarkets and a large indoor shopping centre as well as many shops in Tavira old town. There are many cultural festivals throughout the year with market stalls spilling out along the banks of the Gilau river and free concerts playing late into the night.
