Murta Bianca is a luxury villa which nestles among the hills where the panoramic views across the ‘Bay of Angels’ and stunning surrounding scenery will take your breath away. The winding approach to the property, leading from the coastal road, has commanding views of the area.
Our house was built in 2007 to a very high standard and is suitable for both adults and children. The living accommodation is designed for reverse living, maximising the beguiling vista, with a large lounge/diner, kitchen, lobby and bath/shower room on this upper floor while the second ‘walk-in’ shower room as well as the three double bedrooms are located on the lower level, benefitting from being cooler during the hottest months. The bedrooms have direct access to terraces and the large secluded infinity swimming pool.
Décor in the property is neutral throughout with light coloured furnishings, splashes of coloured accessories and is traditionally furnished. Each of the bedrooms and the kitchen has air conditioning units as well as ceiling fans. The living / dining room also has air conditioning. Central heating is also available for the appropriate season.
There is off road parking facilities for two cars on the car port.
FACILITIES WITHIN THE VILLA
We have reliable and secure wireless internet along with a large SMART HD TV, a DVD player with an extensive collection of DVD’s, as well as a Bose docking station. Books and games are available, suitable for both adults and children.
The kitchen is extremely modern and well equipped with a gas hob, fan assisted oven, microwave, dishwasher, wine cooler and an American style fridge/freezer with an icemaker and water dispenser, kettle and toaster. Situated just outside the kitchen, to the rear of the villa, is an ‘outside’ kitchen with cupboards, sink, work tops and a washing machine. A static ‘rotary’ washing line and folding clothes frame are also situated here.
The spacious open plan lounge/diner enjoys a triple aspect overlooking the Bay of Angels and surrounding hills.
The three double bedrooms comprise of a master bedroom with a super king-size bed, while the second bedroom benefits from a king bed and the third, a queen bed. Each of these rooms has plenty of storage space in wardrobes, chests of drawers and bedside cabinets. Each of the bedrooms overlooks the pool.
A cot is available if required and is suitable for a child up to the age of 4.
There are two bath/shower rooms, one with a walk-in shower on the lower floor with twin basins while the family bathroom is located on the upper level incorporating a combined bath and shower.
GARDEN AND OUTSIDE AREAS
Outdoor living is the essence of a Mediterranean holiday experience. The terraces and the large outdoor areas are furnished and equipped to allow you to fully enjoy the surrounding nature, peace and breath-taking views of the bay.
The garden affords considerable privacy with mature shrubs and trees. There is a profusion of colourful pots and plants with numerous herbs to choose from which we encourage our guests to make use of for the BBQ or in cooking generally.
We have a ‘wraparound’ terrace on the upper level where you will find chairs, a sofa, a bench and a small table. There are opportunities here for the sun seeker as well as more shady spots for those who wish to relax in the cool. For outside dining there is a teak dining table with seating for six, together with a mobile gas barbecue. An additional dining table and six chairs are situated on an alternative front terrace, facing the sea. Eating out on the terrace overlooking the sea is a magical experience but if you prefer to eat in the shade, the jasmine covered pergola at the back of the property is the ideal place.
The private pool measures 8 x 4 metres with steps leading into the shallow end of 80cm, merging into a deeper end of 1.8 metres. Two sides of the pool offer sunbathing for the entire day on a terrace and decking area which have the advantage of a poolside shower or you can relax on the individual terraces outside of the bedrooms in the shade. There are 6 pool side loungers as well as chairs and small tables for this area.
Umbrellas, swimming noodles and arm bands are available together with swimming pool towels.
LINEN AND TOWELS
Bed linen, bath/hand towels, tea towels, kitchen towels and swimming pool towels are provided (fresh bed linen and towels are available for a weekly change).
The cost for cleaning the villa at the end of the rental period will be 120 Euros, in cash, which is to be paid to our agent on arrival, along with a security deposit of 600 Euros, also in cash, as an indemnity against any damage to the property or its’ contents. This deposit, less applicable deductions, if any, will be returned to you by our local agent prior to your departure.
If you require extra cleaning during your stay then this can also be arranged through our local agent at an extra cost.
The villa is within a 35 minute drive from Cagliari as well as Villasimius where there are two magnificent sandy bays backed by lagoons and inhabited by pink flamingos. The southern coastline, viewed from our terraces, is within a 10 minute walk. Our villa is ideally situated to access the many wonderful sandy beaches on the south coast, including Poetto which has 11kms of soft sand. The island is a haven for sports activities including sailing, water sports, golf, tennis, cycling, and horse riding. This location is uniquely positioned to explore these as well as the flora and fauna and the many archaeological sites which provide a fascinating insight into the history of Sardinia. If you enjoy bird watching, or hill walking this is also the location for you. (We do provide a comprehensive booklet giving information about things to see and do in the surrounding area).
In order to fully appreciate the island and all it has to offer the hire of a car is highly recommended.
OUR OWN SARDINIAN EXPERIENCE.
We lived in Sardinia for just over 4 years and developed an understanding of what makes this island a great holiday destination and over the past 10 years we have spent many happy times here with our family and friends.
We love the area for its’ natural beauty and the warmth of the local people. Sardinia has a charm and magic all of its’ own; our favourite months are May and October.

The nearest airport is Cagliari Elmas, about 27km away (40 minute drive). There are direct low cost flights with Ryanair, EasyJet and BA. Many other airlines fly into Cagliari from other parts of Europe.
The nearest shopping to Murta Bianca is the village of Flumini and is a five minute car ride away where there is a post office and an ATM. It also has a pharmacy and there are two well stocked supermarkets with good deli and meat counters. Close by there are several good restaurants and pizzerias and a number of roadside stalls selling seasonal fruit and vegetables
