Located in a peaceful rural location but near the bustling village of Skala with its tavernas and beach, Villa Demeter is a large and comfortable holiday home.Set within an enclosed private plot of 2,203 sq.m with a pool, it allows for complete relaxation away from it all.

• Three king size en-suite bedrooms can comfortably accommodate 6 adults. One of the bedrooms in the main house and the Garden Room may be configured as a twin.
• The Garden Room is detached from the main house - ideal for those requiring a little peace and quiet.
• Downstairs the lounge area is equipped with a large internet-connected smart TV and WiFi, and comfortable sofas. There is a large dining area inside along with two seating and eating areas outside. The kitchen is brand new and fully equipped. There is a downstairs bathroom with toilet and shower along with an outside shower with hot and cold water.
• Parking for several cars and a large garden. Apart from the trees, a large shaded area is available by the pool and barbeque.
• The property is completely enclosed and not overlooked, allowing you to relax in the pool and garden in complete privacy.
• Sea views from the bedrooms on the first floor.
• Credit cards accepted, accessible 24/7, children over 5 years old welcome, cleaner visits during stay, pets not allowed, smoking not allowed.
• No parties.
• WiFi, Smart TV with Internet (Netflix etc.)

We loved our stay at Villa Demeter.

The property is located in a quiet area and minutes away from Skala which is a lovely little town with amazing restaurants and a great beach which never feels too busy. The house is lovely, spacious, well maintained and fully equipped and we loved relaxing by the pool on the sun loungers and enjoyed a barbecue next to the pool. Peter was a great host! Thank you for a memorable stay. We hope to return in the future.
Villa Demeter really is a little piece of Kefalonian paradise.

From the moment we arrived, we were struck by just how beautiful, luxurious and immaculately clean the villa was. Everything has clearly been cared for to an exceptionally high standard, and it really does feel like a very special place to stay. The pool and outside area are simply fabulous. The pool is a wonderful size, beautifully maintained and became our favourite place to relax. The setting is peaceful and private, with everything you could want for a perfect holiday in beautiful Kefalonia. However, what really sets Villa Demeter apart is its owner, Peter. During our stay, the Skala area was affected by the frightening wildfires. This was obviously something completely beyond Peter's control, but his concern for us throughout was incredibly reassuring. He kept in touch, genuinely cared about our safety and wellbeing and could not have been more thoughtful. What touched us particularly was that Peter subsequently refunded part of the cost of our stay because of the disruption caused by the fires. He certainly didn't have to do this – the circumstances were entirely outside his control – and his generosity meant a great deal to us. It says everything about the way he treats his guests. You can book a beautiful villa in many places, but finding one this lovely with an owner who genuinely cares about the people staying there is much rarer. We wouldn't hesitate for a second to recommend Villa Demeter and would absolutely love to return. Thank you, Peter, for your kindness, generosity and for sharing your beautiful villa with us. Villa Demeter really is a little piece of Kefalonian paradise.

Lovely villa
By Kara on 30-May-2026Lovely villa with a fully equipped kitchen with all the essentials like salt, pepper, oil etc! The pool was perfect for my little girl. The sunbeds are the best sunbeds I’ve been on, they’ve been upgraded since the pictures on the listing! The plants outside are all well maintained and since the listing pics some of the more overgrown ones have been sorted so this adds to the aesthetic of the house. I have no faults at all with the house. Very spacious. Good size drive for a car if you are hiring one, could probably fit 2 cars on there. Nice and peaceful too with no overlooking properties. It is a 20-25 min walk into Skala and half the way is along a dirt road but this wasn’t an issue. I would just say to take a head torch for the walk back at night as there is no pavement on the main road so can be a bit dangerous but the drivers mostly give you plenty of room. Communication with Peter was fantastic. He got back to me quickly every time I contacted him and was accommodating and friendly. I will 100% be back in the future.

By Nic on 06-Jun-2026I’ve stayed at Villa Demeter several times now, and what continues to impress me is the care and attention that goes into improving what is already a fantastic villa. Each year, something is thoughtfully upgraded.The outdoor furniture has recently been refreshed with extremely comfortable sun loungers and quality parasols. The garden has been beautifully enhanced and is now even more of a pleasure to walk around. A couple of years ago, the bathrooms were renovated to a very high standard, and the garden room has also had a stylish facelift.It’s clear that a great deal of pride goes into maintaining and improving the villa, ensuring guests like me have a lovely experience.
Our second time to Villa Demeter
By Hannah on 17-Sep-2025Our second time to Villa Demeter and it didn't disappoint . This villa is the best we have stayed in, very private, gorgeous grounds, amazing pool and lovely spacious villa. Everything has been thought of by Peter the owner, couldn't fault a thing. Nearby Skala is a 10 minute walk or a few minute taxi ride (we didn't hire a car) where there are numerous lovely restaurants and shops. There is a car hire firm and quad bike hire in Skala that you can hire for a day. We also went on a morning horse ride with Skala horseriding and saw the sunrise over the sea it was very special and worth getting up early for. All in all if you want a totally relaxing fabulous holiday book Villa Demeter. Thank you Peter we will be back.
