Vistamar is a stunning, three-bedroom penthouse apartment. Sleeping 6, with far-reaching sea views, this modern apartment has every convenience and some luxuries to guarantee a fuss-free holiday! Situated in an up-market urbanization close to the heart of historical Tavira with private roof terrace with barbeque and dining.

Apartment Vistamar has four patios and a very large roof terrace on which to dine al fresco. The roof terrace (accessible via a stair case) has sun loungers and a dining table and chairs, a brick-built barbeque and a retractable awning, for shaded comfort. There is a large patio leading from the kitchen area, that also has a dining table and chairs and another barbeque.

Each bedroom and the lounge have small balconies, the lounge balcony has a breakfast bar, this is the best spot for catching the morning sun and the amazing sea and town views, over Tavira and Tavira Island.

What is the interior like?
Apartment Vistamar is fully air conditioned and has been furnished with every comfort in mind, a cosy home from home. There is a large master bedroom with King size bed and a large en-suite bathroom with walk in shower. The bedrooms are air conditioned and have fitted wardrobes. The second and third bedroom both have twin beds, and patio doors leading on to a small balcony, there is a second bathroom with spa bath and shower. The lounge is very comfortable with a large L shaped leather sofa and a separate dining table and chairs in the spacious lounge/dining area. Vistamar offers a wi-fi connection and satellite television showing Scandinavian and Portuguese channels. The whole apartment is light and airy, the kitchen is fully fitted and has all modern appliances, there are also some books, DVDs and games.

Are sun loungers and umbrellas provided?
Quality sun loungers deck the roof terrace, as does a dining table and chairs.

How far are the shops and restaurants?
The centre of Tavira town is 1.5 km away. Large supermarkets and the Grand Plaza shopping mall are also 1.5 km from the apartment. There are nearby cafes that are around 10 minutes’ walk.

How far are the beaches?
Favourites nearby include Tavira Island, Barril beach and Terra Estrieta, all requiring a small ferry boat or footpath or mini open-air train ride crossing the estuary and marsh lands that make up part of the Ria Formosa nature park. Enjoy the golden sand of the Algarve! Fuzeta beach is also reached within about 20 minutes’ drive away and offers a clean white sandy beach on the mainland so you can nip there for a swim without having to cross the estuary by ferry boat.

How far are the golf courses?
There are excellent golf courses within 10 to 15 minutes’ drive from the accommodation. The closest are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, and Monte Rei.

Is a car recommended for this property?
A car is not necessarily needed as Tavira offers plenty of local entertainment and places of interest. However, in the height of summer and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield, car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.

Is the accommodation suitable for children?
The accommodation is very suitable for children, all the accommodation is on one level.

What facilities are there for babies and children?
There is a cot and high chair provided. Please let us know if you have any other requirements.!

Is the accommodation suitable for elderly?
The accommodation at Apartment Vistamar has been dearly created by its elderly owners and is perfectly suited to less mobile clients or indeed clients using a wheelchair. For added assistance there is a special seat installed in the master shower.

How close are the nearest neighbours? Is the property overlooked?
This apartment is on the third and top floor. An identical apartment can be seen over the way from the kitchen patio, however the lounge and bedroom patios are not at all overlooked.

What type of access it there to the property?
Shared parking is below the apartment, easily accessed via tarmac roads.

How quiet is the area around the property?
Vistamar is situated in a solely residential area of Tavira.

Is smoking permitted?
Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.

Are pets allowed at the accommodation?
Due to the possibility of guests being allergic to animal hair, we would rather not allow pets.

Which is the changeover day and time?
Flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.

Are linen, bath towels and beach towels provided?
Yes, we provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms.

Will there be provisions at the accommodation upon arrival?
There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.

Will there be a local representative available on arrival and in the event that we need any assistance?
Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.
