Isla H. Great apartment, relaxing holiday 5 of 5 This was our first visit to Tavira. We were delighted to arrive at the apartment and find it as described. It was more spacious than the photos appear with plenty of room for 4 people including two teenage boys. The apartment was well equipped: we made use of other thoughtfully provided items including the sunshade and cooler bag for our trips to the beach. The apartment, the gardens and the pool appeared to be well maintained and clean. The apartment is on the outskirts of town about 10 minutes walk and a number of steps to negotiate. We did not find this a problem and enjoyed the stroll into town every evening where there was a big variety of restaurants and usually some musical entertainment in the square. We enjoyed sampling the cocktails in "Tavira Lounge" and the tapas at "D'gusto". We also hired a car which we found vehicle very useful to go to the supermarket and explore the local area. Alison S. Relaxing holiday in beautiful environment 5 of 5 This apartment is in a great location. Yes, there is a walk into town, which may not suit anyone with mobility issues, however we enjoyed the exercise. Tavira town is lovely. Very Portuguese with great restaurants. Not at all commercialised like some of the western Algarve towns. We hired a car which made it easy to visit some of the other local towns, as well as to pick up groceries. The apartment itself is very well equipped and extremely comfortable. Our teenage boys loved the pool and, of course, the wifi! However, the ferry to the beautiful beaches is a definite must. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. Tavira is not for night clubbers, but if you are looking for a beautiful town, with real character and great restaurants at great prices then you will not be disappointed.
