Located in a typical greek village with ancient atmosphere, surrounded by a forest of cypresses, Villakalimera stands out for its character and charm. There, you can relax in the many outdoor articulated spaces, under the shadow of two centuries-old apricot trees among cypress and olive trees, just few steps from Foki beach. On the ground floor a large dining-living, where two sofas are available, wich offers three confortable additional bed. There are a bathroom and a separate large kitchen. On the first floor: a large master room with a double bed and a private shower bathroom and a smaller room with two single beds and a private shower bathroom. Guests have access to the vaste pool area at the ground floor and the lower parking area. They also have two private entrances: one from the parking at the road level and another along a characteristic village footh path. We live in a separate part of the house with our own entrance and outdoor space. We usually are available for any guest necessity and we can frequent the guest area only in order to manage the pool and the garden. The small pool doesn't like dives. Allergic guest must be awared about the presence of several wild cats that usually look for food.
The perfect holiday

Firstly, thank you Piero and Marzia for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. You were the perfect hosts. From organising baby essentials for our little girl, to advising on good places to eat and visit you made our 10 days with you feel like a home from home.
The house was fully equipped, clean, comfy and had a wonderful homely feel to it where we all felt very safe.
It is in a great location, a small stroll to Foki beach (which is glorious) and very close to fiscardo and even closer to supermarkets in
We are looking forward to coming back next year. Thanks again

Beautiful house, very tastefully decorated and in a great location. Recommend a car rental for traveling around the island. Our hosts were fantastic. 5 starts all around.

A beautifully renovated traditional Greek house in a quiet village some 10 minutes car drive up the hill from Fiskardo. The house has 2 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The ground floor living room is convertible into a 3rd bedroom with 2 comfortable sofa beds. Great wifi connection appreciated by our teenage daughters! The pool is small but very clean and quite deep so good for cooling off. Some nice walks in the surrounding area and within short drive a village supermarket and a couple of Tavernas. Owners were resident during our stay but in a separate apartment attached to the main house with its own separate entrance. Still very private and quiet each day.

What a find! Piero and Marzia were so friendly from our first meeting. They were available on a daily basis for a chat or for advice on 'things to do' in the area. Their 'home' (more than just a house) is very special, especially to the guest who likes an 'artistic' touch. It is well equipped and very comfortable. It's location is perfect! Situated in a lovely quiet village but close enough to the beautiful port of Fiskardo for a good selection of restaurants and shops but there a couple of well stocked grocery stores a couple of minutes down the road in Maganos. The pool at Villakalimera was perfect for a cooling down dip but if it's a swim you are after then Foki beach is a couple of minutes by car or a 20 minutes, fabulous walk away, through the woods. We tried a few other beaches but our absolute favourite was Dafnoudi beach about 10 minutes drive and a walk through woods to a 'little peace of paradise'. We stayed a week at Villakalimera and did plenty of day trips to other areas and villages - Assos (a favourite, - picturesque with lovely tavernas), Xi and Patani beaches on the peninsula, a very interesting trip to Argostoli Folk museum, and a lovely walk into Fiskardo and around the lighthouse. However, on a couple of days we were happy to spend time around the pool and village. As you can probably tell we highly recommend Villakalimera to others so we had better book again very soon! Thank you Piero and Marzia!
A nice place to stay.

We couldn't have hoped for a nicer place to stay. Gian Piero and Marzia were perfect hosts, with plenty of local knowledge, and the house itself is beautifully furnished, extremely comfortable, and in a quiet location just a short drive from Fiskardo and the local beaches. To be greeted on our arrival with some freshly baked biscuits was an unexpected but very welcome bonus! If you do decide to stay in the house, we'd particularly recommend trying some of the circular walks that start and finish in Fiskardo: they're a great way to experience what is a stunning part of the island. All in all, a wonderful holiday.

We had a wonderful week at Villakalimera, which is in a perfect location just outside Fiskardo, just a short walk through some woods to the lovely, quiet Foki cove (always deserted first and last thing in the day). The house and garden are beautiful, and Marzia and Gian Piero very helpful. We didn't end up driving much at all, as there are several idyllic beaches an easy drive away, and loads of very well signposted footpaths around that tip of the island. On the one bad weather morning, the house was a very nice place to hang out in. No doubt helped by the late time of year, the whole area was so peaceful and easy, with enough shops and restaurants still open for it to still feel like summer.
Beautiful home and garden!

We had a wonderful week at Villakalimera, the house and garden are so beautiful, lovely shady areas, flowers and the pool was perfect to cool down in; kids enjoyed endless hours playing around in the pool, and being right next to the house we could easily keep and eye on them. The house was beautifully decorated inside too with the blue and white theme, lovely outlook and really nice and close to Foki beach.
We loved Foki beach, great snorkelling and lots of shady places to chill out in the heat of the day, easy to find your own spot along the rocks too. We loved other beaches too, Kimilia and Emblisi;
We had a great day out with Ionian Discoveries on their day trip where they take your to various beaches for snorkelling and show you the sea life, delicious lunch and highly recommended! We ate very well along the seafront in Fiskardo and beach restaurants, our favourite being the one at Jerusalem Beach, Odysseas Taverna, fantastic authentic Greek food!
Piero and Marzia were really lovely hosts, so friendly and helpful, thank you both for providing such a fabulous place for us to stay for the week, we loved Kefalonia and hope to return one day soon!
