Description

Lavender Cottage is a pretty stone built cottage in central Brittany with lovely rural views and a shared heated swimming pool (open from May to September) . There is a modern well-equipped kitchen and the bathroom has both a walk-in shower and a luxurious roll-top bath.
This 2 bedroom cottage has its own private garden and access to the communal garden where the children's play area and swimming pool are located.
We can place a travel cot in the bedroom on request.
Towels and bedding are provided, but please bring your own pool/beach towels.
We are just a stone's throw from the scenic Brest to Nantes canal which is perfect for walking or cycling. (You can hire our bikes if you don't want to bring your own.)
We are situated between 2 villages with shops, supermarchés, bars and restaurants.
The picture-perfect village of Josselin with its medieval buildings and imposing Chateau is just a 15 minute drive away and Vannes, the capital city of Morbihan, is 40 minute drive away. The north and south coasts boast lovely sandy beaches and can be reached in about an hour. History buffs will love the prehistoric standing stones (menhirs)and tombs (dolmens) which are abundant in Brittany thanks to its Celtic heritage. Carnac (about an hour away) has more than 3000 of them!
There are also inland lakes for swimming, fishing and water sports.
Please note that we do not accept pets.
Please note that due to the layout of this cottage it may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility.
Length of stay varies from a minimum of 2 nights during winter, 3 nights in spring and autumn and 7 nights, beginning and ending on a Saturday in July and August.

A lovely relaxing holiday!

We spent two weeks at Lavender Cottage and loved every moment. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. The log burner was a great addition and well used during our stay, perfect for those chilly nights. The gîtes are in a lovely part of the countryside, rural, very quiet and peaceful. They are in a good location to explore the area, it’s historic towns and chateaux, and not far from the coast. Pauline & Tony were great hosts, making us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay Lavendar Cottage. The views from the garden were stunning and welcome pack was a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our trips to Vannes and Carnac. Thank you for a lovely holiday!
