Description
Bellows Mill is a beautiful historic watermill nestled at the foot of the Chiltern Hills. Owned by the same family for ten generations, it continued grinding corn until 1954, and today many of its original millstones and machinery remain in place, preserving its unique heritage and character.Mill End is a completely self-contained holiday retreat, available for both short and long-term self-catering stays. Full of character and surrounded by peaceful countryside, it offers the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The millstream flows beneath the property into a delightful garden with a small copse before joining a gently meandering brook that forms the border between Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire. The accommodation is comfortably furnished while retaining its rustic charm, with many of the mill's original features still prominently displayed.
The ground floor features a well-equipped kitchen and a bright conservatory opening onto the garden, where you'll find a patio and barbecue—ideal for relaxing and dining outdoors.
On the first floor, there is a comfortable twin bedroom, a family bathroom with a bath, and a cosy sitting room with a TV. French doors lead onto a private deck overlooking the millstream, providing a peaceful spot to unwind and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
The second floor comprises a spacious main bedroom with a king-size bed, along with a further bedroom offering both a double and a single bed. A recently refurbished bathroom with a shower completes the upper floor.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
Please note that, due to the historic nature of the building and its layout, the accommodation is not suitable for guests with impaired mobility. As the property is surrounded by open water, children must be supervised closely at all times for their safety.
