Beautiful house which is so spacious throughout. Kitchen, dining space, living room and bedrooms are all really big, airy, light and spacious. We were a party of 6 adults and 3 children and this was just perfect, but when we hosted 2 extra adults for dinner there was ample space. The garden is great too - large and very secure and secluded. The house is walking distance to the beach, moments walk from the pub, and another great little restaurant. Thorpeness itself is v small and there isn’t much there in terms of amenities but the drive into Aldeburgh is 5 mins or less and there’s loads there. It’s also a stunning walk along the beach if you’re so inclined. All in all we had a fantastic 5 days in this gorgeous house. Thank you!
Perfect for a large group

The Turret House was perfect for our family in the lead up to a wedding. The wedding was next door at The Country Club!
The location is great. Easy, few minutes to walk to the beach, the pub and the Meare. A good walk along the beach to Aldeburgh which has a great selection of cafes, restaurants and shops.
The accommodation is excellent. The master suite has a fantastic en-suite bathroom. The kitchen, large dining room and large lounge are more than ample to accommodate everyone. The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for large groups too. We would not hesitate to book again.

We stayed in this house for one week at the end of March, the house is very clean and well equipped, the bedrooms are large and comfortable and the kitchen and lounge are perfect for a large group of people, there was 10 of us with an occasional couple visiting and space was never an issue. Lots to do just a short drive away. I would thoroughly recommend this place as a rental for large groups as it pretty much has all you could ask for.

Amazing stay in the beautiful Turret house! Everything we could have asked for to spend time together as a family. Stylish and practical, the dining table and huge sofa were big favourites for our family!
Turret came up trumps

Located in the beautifully serene Thorpeness and just a few minutes walk from the beach (and pub), Turret House has a wonderfully peaceful location - a true escape and a chance to remember what decent star fields look like!
We did encounter a couple of small issues; 1 being a poor cooker, and the other being a complete boiler breakdown overnight. The latter thankfully fixed within a couple of hours.
Overall, a lovely, warm house offering a great family space and beautifully sized bedrooms (in fact all rooms). The log fire got plenty of use and a secluded garden and patio was perfect for a few fireworks.
