Large sitting room with sofas, coffee table, TV with UK satellite channels, DVD player and doors to terrace. This room can easily accommodate a ‘zed bed’ if required for a child (supplement applies). There is Wifi internet throughout.
Off this room, to the left, is the kitchen with oven/hob, fridge freezer, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine and all necessary utensils for a self-catering holiday.
Also off the living area, to the right, is the main bathroom, which is beautifully fitted and has a large walk-in ‘wetroom’-style shower.
At the other end of the apartment is a further bathroom and main bedroom with king-size bed and a twin room with two single beds. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned and have ample wardrobes.
The very large terrace has a wrought iron gate at the entrance, sun loungers and table and chairs for outdoor dining; there is a portable barbecue. The views down to the beach are superb.
All apartments on this complex share a large swimming pool with attached children’s shallow pool. Please note that this facility is not immediately adjacent to the apartment but is a short walk away.
There are a number of steps leading down to the apartment entrance from the main road and parking area, and those with mobility problems must take this into account. Once in the apartment, everything is on one level.
A hire car is recommended due to the elevated position of the apartment – there are steep steps leading directly down to the resort, or it is possible to walk a more circuitous route along the road

Curates Egg -some good some bad
By philip le grys on 10-Jul-2026We are long term visitors to Menorca for the last 40 years and have stayed in many villas and apartments, including some almost identical to Casa Juanita in Son Bou. The great feature of these apartment on Alta Mar is the really large balcony which should be perfect for out door living and the great views over the bay. We were quite ok with the apartment itself. The big issues concerned the balcony. First of all the outside table was broken and was fitted with a small sun shade which had no base and blew the whole table over with a gust of wind. There were no cushions for either the dining chairs or the 2 sunbeds. To be fair following a call to the management team, the defective table was replaced, unfortunately with the most uncomfortable chairs, and a few other items sorted out. 2 days later the base for the sun shade turned up. Still no cushions for the chairs or sun loungers, So not particularly comfortable. The big issue here is that from around midday through to 6 /7 oclock, the sun is really very hot and you simply cannot sit out in it . Which is why pretty much every apartment in the development has got large sun awnings. There is no awning in this apartment and the silly little sun umbrella provided is completely and totally useless. We had to rig up some extra shade otherwise we would not have been able to sit out and have nice lazy meals. We should not have had to do this. As a result we were not able to fully enjoy the apartment which took a big shine of our holiday. I hope the owner looks into this aspect as it ruins the experience.
