We stayed for a large amity get-together, and the house and grounds were perfect.
By Alex on 30-May-2026We stayed for a large family get-together, and the house and grounds were perfect. The host was really helpful and communicative throughout, everything we needed to cook large family meals was present, and if anything, the photos don’t do this home justice. There was plenty of space for us all at the huge kitchen table, and lots of options for lounging around, either on the terrace, in the gardens, or in the large living rooms. All the bedrooms were generously sized, with nobody feeling they’d drawn the short straw, and the optional wood-fired hot tub was a huge hit. There was plenty of space for the children to play outside, and they loved exploring the large gardens with chickens, ducks and hidden play areas. I’d definitely recommend it for big family groups. We were there during a heatwave, but I’d imagine it’s also really cosy in winter with the Aga and wood burner lit, and a roaring fire in the living room.
