Lovely homely yet holiday feel. Good communication with the owners.
By Justine on 13-Mar-2026The cottage had a lovely homely feel and Caroline and William had thought of everything. It was so helpful to meet them as we arrived and to know they were close by if needed. Although the weather was fairly mixed we enjoyed visiting the New Forest and nearby coastal towns, as well as the Saturday market in Lymington. Watching the activity in the harbour and the nautical theme throughout the cottage really made us feel we were on holiday.
A home from home, location perfect - restaurants and shops all within walking distance.
By Tony & Janet on 19-Apr-2026What a beautiful holiday home you have, such attention to detail a home from home. Location was perfect great restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. Early morning coffee on the balcony was definitely a highlight and also chilling in the evening people watching. The little touches of milk in the fridge when you arrive and toiletries provided were very much appreciated. The bed was extremely comfortable and the quality of the bedding didn’t go unnoticed. Thank you again.
Cosy, comfortable, really well equipped, perfect position and parking.
By Wendy and Richard on 15-Feb-2026We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day break at Ropewalk Cottage last week. It was our third visit there. We find the cottage cosy comfortable and really well equipped. The position is perfect for looking over the Solent, there is always something to see, also a ten minute walk takes you into Lymington where there are lots of interesting shops, cafes and places to eat. We also enjoy walking along the Solent Way, there’s always plenty of wildlife to see. The cottage includes parking which is a great bonus. We look forward to visiting next year.
Perfect location, stunning views, and amazing hosts!
By Laura on 06-May-2026My husband and I recently stayed a Ropewalk Cottage and cannot recommend it highly enough. The accommodation is a perfect size and incredibly spacious, with a great kitchen equipped with everything you could possible need. We absolutely loved the location - watching the boats and the Isle of Wight ferry pass by was a real highlight, and the town is within easy walking distance. The beautiful outdoor spaces were also a massive added bonus! What truly made our stay special was the hospitality. The hosts were super friendly, and Caroline was so lovely, helpful, and personal throughout our visit. It is the perfect base for exploring the New Forest, visiting Beaulieu , and touring the surrounding ares. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!
Very comfortable bed, high quality linen, lovely balcony
By Anne and Paul on 02-May-2026We have just returned from a lovely week long stay at Ropewalk Cottage. It was our third visit and the cottage feels like a home from home for us. The cottage is well equipped, with a very comfortable bed and high quality linen. We particularly love the balcony, where we sat out with a coffee, watching the comings and goings of the boating community at the marina, and the Isle of Wight ferry which passes by. The cottage is about a 15 minute gentle walk into the vibrant town of Lymington which has a good array of independent shops, as well as large supermarkets. We highly recommend the property.
Delightful cottage, well equipped and comfortable.
By Anita and Jerry on 14-May-2026We had a lovely sunny stay in Lymington and really enjoyed the property and its location. Caroline gave us a warm welcome and showed us around the delightful cottage which was well equipped and very comfortable. The back garden in particular was a delight and the upstairs balcony great for watching the world go by. We would recommend the Quay to Quay passenger ferry to the Isle of Wight which departs from only a few minutes walk away. We achieved our objective of a quiet week away, the Haven Restaurant was close by and food and service were good. We hope to return in the future.
