The Granary is a delightful rural retreat surrounded by gorgeous countryside that is perfect for those looking for an adults-only luxury getaway to north Devon. Positioned at the top of the drive, it overlooks the beautiful valley.Completely redecorated in November 2025 with a wonderful combination of sunny outside spaces and cosy interiors, you’ll always be able to find somewhere to relax in this characterful cottage for two.
There is private parking for 2 cars. Guests can enjoy superfast WiFi. The Farmers Arms, our local Michelin Guide restaurant, is only a 15 minute drive.
The Granary is pet free.

Absolutely delighted
By Maddi on 13-Apr-2026We stayed in the Granary for 4 nights and were absolutely delighted. It is so well designed with quality, comfort, and cosiness in mind. Everything inside was beautiful, modern, tasteful and immaculately clean. The bed was plush and comfortable, we loved the log burner, and the jacuzzi an added bonus after long days out walking. The setting is also very peaceful in the middle of the countryside. The cottage felt private but the lovely owners are nearby if you need anything. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

What a fabulous cottage
By Stuart & Sheila on 02-Aug-2025Had a week in The Granary. What a fabulous cottage. Only 15 mins from everywhere but so quiet you’d think there was nobody else around. Nice treats on arrival and Chris and Anna made us feel very welcome. Cottage like a show home and had everything you need, well stocked kitchen and nice touches with robes and towels for the hot tub. Patio and hot tub area tucked away, was such a sun trap and very private. Great for dark skies – spent a number of evenings watching the sunset and the stars. Plenty of room for 2 and the dressing room was a bonus.
Beautiful accommodation
By David & Lesley on 05-Sep-2025We chose Eckworthy as a few days relaxing before heading down to Cornwall. It did not disappoint. Beautiful accommodation, absolutely everything we needed & more. Visit to Clovelly was a lovely day out, hot tub on an evening bliss. Fab stay, thanks x
We had a fab long weekend

The Granary was beautiful inside and the addition of the most comfortable bed ever and robes for the hot tub made it feel even more luxurious. ! Lovely peaceful countryside location but near enough to the beautiful North Devon coast. Would definitely return..
