My husband, myself and our dog Jax have just spent a wonderful six months at the lodge and it was totally awesome.
The lodge is situated in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees and overlooking a lovely arboretum. The decking area with its table, chairs and bbq is perfect for enjoying a lovely meal in wonderful peaceful surroundings.
The interior of the lodge is first class with beautiful furnishings and an extremely well equipped kitchen. The added bonus of two bathrooms is especially welcome.
For dog owners the lodge is fantastic, there is an outside decking area which is enclosed perfect for keeping your pets safe. Also within a few steps there is a path into the woodland walk that takes you to the lake. Wildlife abounds with deer, foxes, rabbits, swans, geese and ducks to name a few.
The local area has lots of interesting places to visit, from pretty coastal towns to amazing historical halls and castles.
We have thoroughly loved and enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning.
Spoilt for choice.

Superb location, close to the coast and lovely local villages (with some super pubs) and only 20 mins to Norwich. Nice touch to find a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and such a change to find pets so welcome. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

Just a quick note to say thank you. We had the most wonderful relaxing time in the lodge.
It really felt like home from home, beautifully furnished and well equipped and loved the thoughtful touches for the dogs.
So nice to arrive to a bottle of prosecco, made a perfect start to a perfect stay.
We loved the fact we were only a few minutes drive away from some beuatiful local hotspots and some lovely places to eat out.
I would most definetley recommed this place to all my friends and family. Thank you

Just got back from a few days away with my wife at Woodland lodge. We had a very relaxing time. The lodge was absolutely what we hoped for. Very clean and comfortable (especially the beds) a great kitchen with everything we needed to prepare meals although we ate out most of the time at some of the lovely country pubs in the area. The lodge is set in a very pretty peaceful little park situated very central to explore Norfolk and close to Norwich if you want to head into a City for some shopping.
We will be visiting again once Covid restrictions allow and would recommend to people.
Great place to get away.

Our lodge stay

We enjoyed our lodge stay very much. Plenty of living space and very well stocked with everyday bits and pieces to make our stay more enjoyable. We actually took too many extras re condiments, coffee tea etc. Loved the Chocs , two dinners and dog treats waiting for us and our dog Jack. We haven’t experienced such peace and quiet for many years. Wonderful.

Myself,my Husband and our Yorkie recently had a 4 night break in this lodge at Haveringland country park,Cawston. The lodge itself was lovely. It was beautifully clean and felt very homely. It was very well equipped in terms of kitchen equipment, books, magazines, tourist information etc.It had an excellent TV along with a DVD player and a selection of DVD`s.Outside on the balcony there was plenty of outdoor seating and cushions were provided for extra comfort. The beds were made up for our arrival and there were plenty of clean towels provided. The lodge itself is on a park of a mix of residential and holiday homesThe park is very quiet and secluded, away from the big towns etc. but yet close enough to go out for the day and visit the touristy places and then go back to the lodge for some peace and quiet. We spent a lot of time sitting out on the lodges balcony enjoying the fine weather and we felt very welcome to the park as we enjoyed a few chats with some of the other park users/residents.If a peaceful, relaxing holiday is what you are looking for then this is it.We will definitely be booking again for next year.

A glorious holiday in Norfolk

We were very happy with the lodge. We found the accommodation very comfortable and the beds and the settees in the loung area were as good as we have at home. The neighbours were very helpful when the electricity kept failing - this was due to a fault which developed on the toaster. (Just bad luck). Everything we needed was to be found in the lodge, and the whole ambiance indicated that the owner stayed there regularly and there were many personal effects to be found. A lovely venue. We rarely go anywhere twice, but may even change our minds now!
Peace and tranquility

Thanks Susan for the welcome meal, loved it
A break with hubby and dog

The owner had thought of everything, lots of extras and treats for us and the dog. A lovely lodge and a very nice location albeit a little remote for us.

This was the first trip away with our dog Chester and the chalet could not have been in a more perfect position 20 steps and straight into the wood for hours of walking and a quick dip in the lake for Chester!
The chalet was home from home all very clean and tidy the neighbours and other residents were extremely friendly.
We wished we had booked longer but it was a tester with taking Chester and I’m sure we will be back.
