Ideal for couples and families with beach and Fowey with its historic harbour a short walk away. The heated indoor/ outdoor pool, Finnish sauna and log fire make it an ideal escape at any time of year. The south facing full length covered balcony means you can enjoy the charming garden view and ideal for al fresco meals. Recently refurbished to provide luxury accommodation, close to some of Cornwall's finest gardens like Heligan, Lanhydrock and the Eden project. Fowey is delightfully unspoilt but has a first class range of shops and restaurants. Enjoy the special Cornish light and seascape -- a perfect holiday !
Outside: The gardens are extensive and award winning. They are a feature of the property and beautiful throughout the year. The Garden View Apartment at Carnethic House has direct access via the balcony. The balcony is a lovely feature of the property, having 2 tables, 6 dining chairs and 2 rattan armchairs. It faces south and overlooks the garden -- a lovely space to relax and enjoy the view. The pool is a very good size and is an indoor heated pool with a telescopic roof so it becomes indoor / outdoor in the warm summer months -- it really is a joy all year round. There is a Finnish sauna, a changing room and shower and toilet. It is very well maintained with a policy of using no or very little chlorine which we can do because it is monitored on a daily basis. It is shared with 5 other apartments. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen included and hand and bath towels, tea towels. House keeper cleans and changes bedlinen etc weekly. Other: Carnethic House is a fine Regency house with an outer hall and spacious main hall with elegant staircase. The Garden View Apartment at Carnethic House is a large spacious apartment on the ground floor with all rooms overlooking the lovely gardens. and has direct access to the garden. Apartment 2 is the best !

We swam in the pool and from the beaches, slept well and had a fabulous holiday. We loved the flat and its balcony for all our meals. Superb holiday - thank you SO much. We hope to be back perhaps in October. Apt 2 is the best !
Another lovely visit
By Vera Forsyth on 06-May-2026Another great week at The Garden View at Carnethic House. This time for the amazing Fowey Festival of Literature and Music. We enjoyed a variety of performances from Jazz to choral and a fascinating talk by the grandsons of Daphne du Maurier. The pool was lovely and warm - great to have private sessions. We managed to fit in a visit to Trerice and our favourite skylark walk over the cliff meadows. Can't wait for the next visit !
