Enter through an impressive hallway, with sweeping stone steps and flagstone floors. Sit and relax with a glass of wine in one of the two separate sitting rooms, with large comfortable sofas, exposed beams and a wood burning stove to warm those cooler nights. The centre-piece of the house is a huge open plan kitchen and dining area, featuring a dining table which seats the entire party of up to 15, as well as a leather chesterfield sofa and a cosy wood-burning effect, electric stove. The kitchen is full of character with granite counter tops, A-framed beams and a classic, modern four oven electric AGA range cooker.
Downstairs is a beautiful bedroom sleeping up to 3 people, with en-suite shower room. Upstairs is a superb family master bedroom suite with super king-sized bed and single sofa bed, leading to both a room with bunk beds, and to an en-suite shower room with double basins. There is a further stunning en-suite king-size bedroom, as well as a bedroom with king-sized mahogany sleigh bed, and two stylish twin rooms. There is a lovely family bathroom with separate shower and roll-top bath.
Wake up to the glorious scenery, then wander outside to take in the landscape in its entirety, whilst you relax on one of two patio areas, or enjoy a warm soak in the hot tub or a quiet sauna in the spa garden.
Quiet footpaths trail through the valley, where deer, owl and pheasants potter, and guests will find plenty of pretty, secluded spaces perfect for picnics. There are excellent walks and cycle rides accessible direct from the property. A cosy local pub is within walking distance, and a farm shop nearby. Unwind in the local medieval village of Heptonstall; a beautiful, cobbled, village with a museum and two pubs. The National Trust woodland of Hardcastle Crags is on the doorstep, offering numerous walks, a mill museum and cafe. Hebden Bridge is 3 miles away and offers an eclectic choice of cafes, shops, bars and restaurants, as well as a stylish art deco independent cinema..
In Halifax guests can visit the world-famous grade 1 listed Piece Hall, a superb global music venue (it is possible to hire a minibus there and back for late nights out). There's also Shibden Hall and Estate, once home to Anne Lister of Gentleman Jack Fame, and the Eureka National children's museum.
There are many day-trip options, including Haworth (home of the Bronte sisters), the Worth Valley steam railway, and Skipton, the historic town that is gateway to the magnificent Yorkshire Dales, with its castle, priory and historic market.

I can't express how lovely the interior of the house is and the surrounding views

By Sammi Cross on 20-Jun-2025

Gorgeous house! Stopped here for a Hen Do and it was a perfect location! Relaxing and peaceful! Close enough to Hebden Bridge without it costing an arm and a leg in a taxi (recommend using an Uber as there seemed to be only small number of local firm taxis and wait times where long) Can’t express how lovely the interior of the house is and the surrounding views! Absolutely stunning throughout! Highly recommend! 10/10 property and experience!

This house was perfect

By Aimee Barker on 14-Jun-2025

Organised the Longview for my friends hen do and this house was perfect. The bar and hot tub were amazing as were the views. Just wish we had longer to make use of the house! Sarah was a great host, answering questions quickly, providing recommendations and even made us a cake for our arrival. Comfy and spacious bedrooms and large dining/kitchen area. We had a great time and would definitely book again.

We’ve been celebrating my 50th birthday and it’s been fabulous

By Nichola Roscoe on 31-May-2025

Just on our last night at Sarah’s beautiful house & grounds. Such an inviting and beautiful setting to have a family event. We’ve been celebrating my 50th birthday and it’s been fabulous, the hot tub & games room have been a hit! There is everything that you need to enjoy your stay from karaoke to coffee filters & clogs for the garden, Xbox if your that way inclined to. Communication has been second to none & Sarah & hubby have helped in anyway possible. Thank you so much for having us all

The house is spacious, beautifully maintained, and packed with entertainment

By Ashwinder Bedi on 19-May-2025

We recently stayed at The Long View in Yorkshire with a group of 12 and had an amazing experience. The house is spacious, beautifully maintained, and packed with entertainment like a pool table, table tennis, and a Jacuzzi — perfect for a relaxing and fun getaway. The views are stunning, and the host was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the booking and our stay, making everything easy and stress-free. Highly recommend for any large group looking for a memorable break!
