We enjoyed our stay, WOW the views so beautiful, we didn’t want to leave. The cottage was spotless, very comfortable large bed. Thank you Carol for hospitality, we enjoyed your company.
My wife and I stayed at the Hawthorns for a week in April. It's is a really beautiful property located a few miles outside Keswick, so has the feel of being off the beat and track but with all the amenities that Keswick has to offer just a short drive away. The view down to Bassenthwaite Lake from the sitting room window is quite breathtaking, and a wonderful backdrop to gaze upon with a cup of tea at any time of day. The property is spacious and has everything you could possibly need, with a comfy bed and a fully equipped kitchen. We found it a lovely place to retire to after a day out exploring. Carole was a fantastic host throughout. She gave us a very warm welcome on arrival which immediately made us feel at home. She was always available for anything we needed, but left us free to come and go as we pleased. The Hawthorns is a really beautiful cottage and a perfect base to explore all the Lake District has to offer. We wouldn't hesitate to return and will be recommending it to friends and family.
