Description

Fabulous holiday home set in extensive grounds and located near to the village of Llangrannog within walking distance (45 mins) of village pub, café and Blue Flag beach. indoor fully enclosed BBQ hut with bar extension installed September '24, just in case it rains but you want some grill cooking action. We have a wood fired soaking tub which seats 7/8 people set in a private garden setting. Fully renovated former farmhouse with luxury kitchen and bathroom and literally acres of private space to relax and enjoy the countryside. The farmhouse sleeps 7 (+1) in 4 bedrooms; two king-size bedrooms, a single bedroom (with further single pull-out bed) and a small bunk room (ideal for children). There is a large living / dining room with wood burning stove, smart TV and WiFi. We have a large elevated kitchen with a triple aspect, window seats, kitchen island with seating, chaise sofa, range style cooker and the all important wine cooler. As part of renovations we installed a brand new luxury bathroom with free standing bath and walk-in drench shower. Access is available to a basement room with pool table and dart board. There is a small babbling stream flowing through the centre of the grounds with several separate garden areas to explore including a mini-orchard with apple, plum, pear and cherry trees, a small wooded area and 1 acre grassed field with football posts at the front of the property with grounds totalling 2 acres. The gardens are regularly visited by birds including Red Kite, Buzzard, Gold Finch, Bull Finch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, various species of Tits, Nuthatch, Grey Wagtail, Wren, Jay, Goldcrest, Pheasant and more.

Located in a secluded outdoor space near the stream, the wood fired hot tub is a hands on experience and guests will need to light the fire and add wood to the stove periodically to warm the water. There are no chemicals in the water, so along with the anti-bacterial properties of the western red cedar construction and the sterilising nature of heat from the stove, both elements combine to ensure a totally natural bathing experience. Best enjoyed on clear night to enjoy the dark skies as we are blessed with very little light pollution.

Recently completed in early 2021 is our roof terrace attached to the end of the kitchen with outdoor dining seating, lounge seating, sun beds, BBQ and wood fired pizza oven. The terrace is a great place to relax and unwind.

We have installed a house alarm and outdoor CCTV as added security.

Great facilities, fantastic setting, lots of space.

By Nick on 23-May-2026

We had a fantastic stay at Cil y Gorwel. We took three generations of our family from ages 13 to 79 and everyone really enjoyed it. The facilities were great and there was plenty to do, but for us it was the setting and environment that made it extra special. The location is peaceful, private, and, surrounded by natural beauty. There’s plenty of room to spread out, and it feels completely secluded without being remote. Within easy reach by car we found great beaches, Wales coastal path, and dolphin watching at New Quay. I'm not usually one for hot tubs but the setting made this one special. The elevated terrace was a highlight for us. We really enjoyed sitting out there with a coffee in the morning looking at the views and listening to the birds, or a drink in the evening while cooking on the bbq or pizza oven. The WiFi speed was also good.

Perfect home from home stay

By chris cushing on 25-Oct-2025

A great house with everything you could need. The hot tub was a great experience even as it started to rain. The outside BBQ hut is amazing with a magical lit footpath down to it, had many a nice night cooking food around the fire. After a long day out in the October rain it was great to come back to a lovely warm house. So nice to have a proper pool table in the games room. Would recommend this house as a great base.

Idyllic location and beautiful house

By Wendy May on 19-Jul-2025

We have stayed at this lovely house many times now and it gets better every year. Paul and Cath are great to deal with and the house is always spotless. They are always looking to improve the property; this year the addition was a BBQ hut in the garden which we found was great fun to cook over the grill while inside the cosy hut and it would be amazing in the autumn/winter. There is plenty of room for our family of four and the grandparents in the farmhouse and everything you could possibly need is provided. We all love the pizza oven and wood-fired hot tub but best of all is the total peace and quiet of the wonderful secluded setting amongst the trees and yet you are only a few minutes from Llangrannog and the beach. Highly recommend a stay at Cil-y-Gorwell its just the most relaxing and restorative place for a holiday.
