Overview
Description
Castle View House — Central Tenby, Sea & Harbour ViewsCastle View House is a striking Victorian seafront property in the heart of Tenby, with 11 bedrooms and 13 bathrooms across two adjoining houses, sleeping up to 23. Wake up to sea and harbour views, walk straight onto North Beach, and park up for the week in your own private walled parking for 7 cars — a rarity on the Tenby seafront. Pet-friendly and built for space, Castle View suits everything from an intimate week away to a full family reunion. With only five-star reviews and many guests returning year after year, it's a house people come back to.
WHY CHOOSE CASTLE VIEW HOUSE?
The perfect location — straight out of the front door to the golden sands of North Beach and Tenby high street.
The amazing view — out to sea and across to the harbour and castle. It's the first thing every guest sees, and the first word most of them say is "wow."
The space — 8 bedrooms in the main house, seven of them en-suite, plus a large family bathroom with a wooden tub. A massive first-floor drawing room, two home cinema rooms with giant screens, a dance floor, and a dining room that seats 14 around an antique haberdasher's table. A commercial-style kitchen makes catering for a crowd genuinely easy.
The flexibility — Castle View can flex to suit your group: book the 8-bed house alone (price quoted), or add The Long House next door for a further 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, taking the whole property to 11 bedrooms and up to 23 guests. Few Tenby properties can scale like this.
The garden and outdoor space — a genuine rarity for a Tenby seafront house: secluded, enclosed and green, with lawns, a palm tree, borders, a courtyard, a decked seating area, an outdoor shower and a brand-new outdoor kitchen with BBQ — built for long summer evenings together.
The exclusive parking — a private walled parking area at the bottom of the garden for up to 7 cars.
Pet-friendly — bring the dog. Castle View is one of the few large group houses in Tenby that welcomes four-legged guests too.
The friendly town — Tenby is the quintessential seaside town: award-winning beaches, pastel-coloured houses, a working harbour, a museum, and shops, galleries, cafés and restaurants in abundance. Perfect for families, walkers, artists, athletes (Ironman Wales is held here), friends, celebrations, retreats — everyone, really.
The huge range of activities — with so much to do in Tenby, indoors and out, some guests arrive, park the car and don't use it again until it's time to go home. Building sandcastles, beach cricket, swimming and paddling can occupy many happy hours, plus boat trips to Caldey Island, paddleboarding on North Beach, sea fishing, golf, indoor climbing, and water and adventure sports are all within walking distance.
Further afield, a 15-minute drive or less brings you to a variety of well-run family attractions, including Heatherton World of Activities, Manor Wildlife Park, the Dinosaur Park, Carew Karting, Folly Farm and Battlefield Live. Pembroke Castle, birthplace of Henry VII, is about 20 minutes away, as are the independent shops of Narberth.
The breathtaking area — Pembrokeshire is famously beautiful and unspoilt, with 186 miles of magnificent and varied coastline and over 50 beaches. Within easy reach of Tenby you'll find historic houses and gardens, lily ponds, National Trust woodlands, tidal mills and marinas — enough to fill many more holidays beyond this one.
BOOKING INFORMATION:
Week-long bookings start on a Friday; during mid/low season, three-night weekend breaks run Friday–Monday, or four nights Monday–Friday. 7 night minimum stay during the summer school holidays.
The property can be split into an 8-bed house (Castle View) and a 3-bed house (The Long House) if required. Prices shown are for the 8-bed house only.
The deposit is 25%, and the balance is due 8 weeks before arrival. Check-in is 4pm, check-out 10am — we'll always offer an earlier arrival or later departure if we don't have a same-day changeover. A £300 returnable damage deposit is also payable.

Fantastic holiday for three generations of our family
By Lucy Tedd on 29-Jun-2026This is the seventh time that we have stayed in Castle View. It is a great place for the three generations of our family to stay…and is really enjoyed by all.

Fabulous
By Kris on 08-May-2026We really couldn’t have found a better place to gather as a family to celebrate Mums 90th birthday! So well equipped and perfect for families or friends coming together as a big group. The window seat was very popular with everyone 2-90yrs watching the world go by and the outstanding view! Highly recommended
Great house in a stunning location
By Karla on 06-Apr-2026Our party of 21 (adults, teens and children) stayed at Castle View and The Long House for a Mon-Fri break during the Easter holidays. We all loved the location of the house. It was perfect for exploring Tenby. We parked the cars and didn’t move them for the duration of our stay. It was great to be able to walk to the beaches, shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. Popping back to the house was not a problem as it’s so close to everything. Food/drink choices in Tenby are fantastic. We pre booked a couple of restaurants prior to our stay, as we were such a large group, but take aways, cafes and bars could accommodate us with no problem. We’d highly recommend Florentino’s Italian restaurant and would advise booking ahead. The Long House is modern and recently renovated. Some of our group slept here and loved it but we were all mainly based in Castle View. Castle View House offered everything we needed. Plenty of space to spread out and a fantastic drawing room to be together and experience the simply stunning views of Tenby. The sunrises from the big window are just incredible! The kitchen was well equipped and the children and teens really enjoyed the games room and movie room. The welcome hamper on arrival was a lovely touch. Thank you. Parking sounded a bit complicated from the instructions but wasn’t at all once we got there and sussed it out. The garden areas were lovely but not used by us as we were on the beach. Communication from Matthew and Sarah throughout was brilliant with all questions answered promptly. We all loved our stay and just wished it had been a bit longer. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
Excellent stay
By The underwoods on 01-May-2026We were a family of 21 including, children and dogs. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, everything felt welcoming and well organised. The accommodation itself was spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable. One of the standout features was the stunning sea views, which made mornings and evenings especially relaxing. The house truly had everything we needed and more, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful extras that made it feel like a home away from home. The location was also ideal—close enough to local attractions, shops, and restaurants, yet peaceful and quiet. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful views and all the comforts of home. I would definitely stay here again.
