Description
Completely self-contained, Gallants is one of three flats in a converted waterside chapel on Falmouth’s inner harbour. It has a magnificent, panoramic view across the harbour and, while conveniently close to restaurants and shops, is down a private lane, so quiet and sheltered from the bustle of the town. We have free off-street parking for one car immediately outside Gallants.The spacious living/dining room and kitchen are open plan, with double doors to a balcony overlooking the harbour. The kitchen has integrated appliances – eye-level oven, separate hob, dishwasher, fridge and freezer – plus a microwave. There are two bedrooms, one with a super king that converts to twin singles on request, and a standard double. The bathroom has a full-size bath, very roomy walk-in shower with grab rails and a heated towel rail. A utility/cloakroom has a second WC, a washing machine, and folding chairs for use on the balcony. All rooms have heating, which in cooler weather we can switch on ahead of your arrival to ensure the flat is warm and cosy.
Gallants is a comfortable base for visiting Cornish gardens and beaches, for walking the coastal path or for just relaxing and watching the activity in the harbour (binoculars provided). You will spot a variety of sea birds, possibly a kingfisher (in winter), harbour seals, small boats, ferries, yachts, naval and cruise ships. For car-free days, we are just a few minutes’ walk from two quays where you can take a ferry to St Mawes, Flushing, Trelissick garden or Truro, or a boat trip up the Fal or Helford rivers. If you can drag yourself away from the ever-changing scene on the water in front of our double windows and balcony, we are well-placed for exploring the beautiful Lizard Peninsula, Roseland Peninsula, Penzance and West Penwith and Cornwall’s north coast from St Ives and Gwithian beach up to Watergate Bay or Padstow – all within an hour’s drive.

One of our favourite places to stay

The location is excellent, right in the centre of Falmouth and right next to the sea. The accommodation has everything we need. Sitting in the living room or on the balcony overlooking the sea is just bliss, regardless of the weather, peaceful yet lots going on to view. It's great to have parking close to the front door and everything is so close at hand – pubs, restaurants, shops and culture all within easy walking distance.”
The perfect location and accommodation

What makes it special is the view from the spacious, comfortable, homely living room with large French doors and a balcony overlooking the harbour. Sitting there with a cup of tea in the morning is the perfect way to unwind. It is blissfully quiet, and yet only a few steps from some great bars and restaurants, and very convenient for the shops. I would definitely like to go back again soon.”
Hard to beat

There is so much to do and see in and around Falmouth and the many amazing places to eat out are a stone’s throw from the flat. Everything works like clockwork and the owners have attended to the minutest details. Hard to beat.
