A large spacious kitchen, living and dining area, with tall ceilings and oak beams creates a light and airy modern cottage, but retains a cozy and romantic feel.As a level bungalow, it is suitable for wheelchair users or guests with limited mobility.
Perfect for couples, with a massive Superking-sized bed, although the bed can also be made into twin single beds if required.
The cottage benefits from a ‘dog friendly’ fully enclosed patio.
The side patio is a sun trap, and perfect for sitting outside to eat alfresco or enjoy a glass of wine.

Excellent accessible accommodation

The Stables is spotless clean throughout, all level access, outside is a lovely patio area with a table and chairs, to the side of the property is the hot tub and room for your own sun lounger’s should you want to bring them it’s a nice sun trap Thr kitchen it very well equipped and modern and a nice living area, the bedroom is very large with plenty of space for wheelchair access, bedside tables , dressing table and wardrobe and also a nice comfy chair The bathroom/wet room is huge with two different styles of shower head , everything has handrails, the shower, the toilet Whatever your accessibility needs are just let Rebecca know before arrival and they’re met It really is a wonderful place to stay , a perfect base you’ve got peace and quiet if that’s what you’re looking for, or the beach a 10 minute drive away

By Guest on 03-May-2026The property is delightful and suitable for clients with mobility issues. It is well equipped but a side table for the riser/recliner chairs would be very welcome and to be and to be very picky - a butter dish. !

Wonderful cottage
By Guest on 03-Oct-2025This was our second visit to Harrods Cottages and our 1st stay in The Stables. The cottage was really well equipped with profile bed, mobile hoist, shower chair and riser recliner. It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing break. It is well situated for visiting Cornwall and the year we made a second visit to the Eden Project. The host Rebecca, is on hand to help with any queries and her horses in the field opposite are wonderful to watch.
Peaceful break
By Guest on 19-Sep-2025Spacious modern cottage for two, centrally located minutes from the A30, Healeys cyder farm and Callestick Ice cream parlour. Fully equipped and comfortable with the bonus of a hot tub and fully enclosed garden for the dog. Dedicated parking and charging if needed. Hosts on hand if needed, yet respected privacy. A wonderful quiet break and would love to return.
Wonderful Cottage
By Guest on 27-Aug-2025The Stables is an excellent cottage, in a nice location with plenty to assist anyone who needs access facilities. My wife has to make use of a wheelchair at the moment and she found the cottage to be well laid out especially the bedroom and bathroom. The cottage has plenty of room for two, the kitchen has all the top of the range equipment and there is a nice space outside to enjoy sunny weather. The addition of the hot tub is also a nice touch. This would be a nice cottage even if you don't need access aids. It is only when you require disabled facilities that you realise how difficult everyday things can become. This cottage is well thought out and I believe that Harrods are tapping into a market that is sadly overlooked but is desperate to find places as good as this. We are so glad we found this cottage
